why can't anything be easy?
why do i always dream wood teeth are falling all over the street?

you get the girl,
you lose the girl,
the girl wants back but you've already moved on

you take her in,
she changes her mind,
you lose the girl, and you've lost her twice so

why can't anything be easy?
(why can't everything be easy)
you wanted out, 'fore you
get pulled right the fuck back in.

guess who?
(guess who!)
guess who?
(it's you!)
guess who?
(it's you?)
guess who?
(guess who)
guess who?
(is it you)
guess who?
(is it ME?)
guess who?
(IT'S YOU!"

why can't anything be easy?
why do you fantasize,
instruct the darkness, you find the light,
you had the drive,
your belly was split,
the love slipped in and off with your head

you fell off fast,
you fell off hard,
you wanna get back so my back's moved on so

why can't anything be easy?
(why can't everything be easy?)
you wanted out, 'fore you
get pulled, right the fuck back...

ain't got no body,
ain't got nobody to blame

ain't got no body,
ain't got nobody to blame

ain't got no body,
ain't got nobody to blame

ain't got no body,
ain't got nobody to blame

you wanted out, 'fore you...

    In the beggining it's

you get the girl, you lose the girl, the girl walks back but she's already moved on

you take her in, she changes her mind, you lose the girl, and you've lost her twice so

I think that part is for sure cause it was mentioned in an interview Honus did.

And I think the other part is

why can't anything be easy? why do you fantasize, instruct the darkness, you find the light, you have the drive, your belly was split, the love slipped in and off with your head

And on the guess whos, after is it me he screams it's you.

Thanks for putting this up though, the second verse I wasn't too sure of until I saw what you put up.

Thanks, I corrected them. Those seem to be very close if not 100%.

I'm pretty sure the line goes

You wanted out, BUT you Get pulled right the fuck back in

Also, this verse, I've always thought he said

You get the girl, You lose the girl, The girl WANTS back but YOU'VE already moved on

Other than that, I've got no qualms with this transcription. Not entirely sure what the meaning of the song is, but it seems to be dealing with regrets.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
