I disagree with Keogh. The song's about being stuck in a rut (depression, hopelessness, dismay, disgust, disenchantment with the world in general) and wondering just how long it will be till you feel differently, or until, perhaps, the world itself will change so that you may follow suit.
I definitely agree with godscoward that this song is about frustration, hopelessness and apathy and needing a change in order to move on from a certain shituation. It's my favourite track on Sharing Space.
