Say Your Last Goodbye Lyrics
What we were has died
Time to start again
Let the end begin
Cutting ties
On our own
And there's nothing more to say
As we go our separate ways
Say your last goodbye
Say to me: "The madness is over, it's over"
Leave it all behind
Cutting ties
On our own
And there's no one left to blame
As we go our separate ways
Say your last goodbye
Say to me: "The madness is over, it's over"
We're ending it all
So out of phase
Both wanting more
We're hitting brick walls
This bitter taste
As we fall
Say to me: "The madness, it's over, it's over"
Say to me: "The madness is over, it's over"
Lyric I'm not sure about: "So have a face". Help?
Correct lyrics, from the CD insert:
Say your last goodbye What we were has died Time to start again Let the end begin
So alone, cutting ties On our own and there's nothing left to say As we go our seperate ways Say your last goodbye
Say to me the madness Is over, it's over Say to me, remind me It's over, it's over
Even though we tried Leave it all behind
So alone, cutting ties On our own, and there's no one left to blame As we go our seperate ways Say your last goodbye
Say to me the madness Is over, it's over Say to me, remind me It's over, it's over
No fantasy, we're ending it all So out of phase, both wanting more No subtleties, we're hitting brick walls This bitter taste, as we fall
Say to me the madness Is over, it's over Say to me, remind me It's over, it's over Say to me the madness Is over, it's over
I think this song was written about Sylvia Massey (who produced Tool's Undertow).
She wanted to release the New Normal of her label but COG didn't want to. I don't know if her label is Major and wasn't independant, but I do know that COG like to stay independant.
