@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday".
I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
Well, you were there when the wall came down
A baby king with a grown man's crown
And we played in the sun as the curtain was crumbling
Well, I was young and I could not see
That if you go, won't you please take me'
And you told me that I would forget you eventually
(And I nearly did)
Yeah, yeah
I thought it was over but it's not
I thought it was over but it's not
I'm spinning in circles, I can't stop
I thought it was over but it's not
I'm in love with a fool
And you don't know what you've lost
It hurts from the bottom to the top
I thought it was over but it's not, yeah
Another year and the job was done
The old republic was dead and gone
And the new way of living would be a reality
But it's a while since you shut that door
I lie awake, ain't asleep no more
Though the nightmare is gone now I don't have a dream
(I don't have a dream)
I thought it was over but it's not
I thought it was over but it's not
I'm spinning in circles, I can't stop
I thought it was over but it's not
I'm in love with a fool
And you don't know what you've lost
It hurts from the bottom to the top
I thought it was over but it's not
Does anybody know
Does anybody know
Does anybody know
Does anybody know
I thought it was over but it's not
I thought it was over but it's not
I'm spinning in circles, I can't stop
I thought it was over but it's not

I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example:
"'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Amazing

Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
Keep hearing this on the radio,am i missing something, its absolute garbage like all their other stuff.Who buys this rubbish?
Well, most of their lyrics definitely aren't great poetry. And as the songwriter Dan said once, he writes his lyrics five minutes before they are recorded.<br /> <br /> BUT the music is simply gorgeous. They revive and renew the Beatles/Queen/Elton spirit that's deeply rooted in the European music culture. I Though It Was Over is basically a simple disco song. But it's quality beyond any modern limit. It rocks!
THE FEELING ARE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
this song is sooo addictive and catchy!! love the feeling xx
It looks to me as if the song is (at least in part) about the fall of Communism in Germany. The first lines are blatantly about the fall in 1989 (references to the wall and the curtain) and then the second verse "another year and the job was done..." refers to the disappearance of East Germany a year later.
Yeah definitely!<br /> <br /> "when the wall came down"<br /> "the [iron] curtain was crumbling"<br /> "the old republic was dead and gone"<br /> <br /> But I think it's more a metaphor for the rest of the song than actually being about the fall of the Berlin Wall.
I think the lyrics are pretty straightforward in this song. He was in love a long time ago and though he thought he had moved on, he's still in love and that hurts him. Awesome song, by the way.
Can anyone transcribe what the choir sings in the verses? I simply can't hear it!
Ok, I've figured out what the choir sings in the two verses:
I could not see Said please take me Told me And I nearly did
I shut that door I sleep on more Nightmare I don't have a dream
