I just cant believe you're gone
Still waitin' for mornin' to come
When I see if the sun will rise, in the way that your by my side
Well we got so much in store
Tell me what is it I'm reaching for
When were through building memories I'll hold yesterday in my heart
In my heart

They can take tomorrow and the plans we made
They can take the music that we never play
All the broken dreams, take everything
Just take it away, but they can never have yesterday
They can take the future that we'll never know
They can take the places that we said we will go
All the broken dreams take everything
Just take it away, they can never have yesterday

You always choose to stay
I should be thankful for every day
Heaven knows what the future holds or least where the story goes
I never believed it til now
I know I'll see you again I'm sure
No it's not selfish to ask for more
One more night, one more day, one more smile on your face
But they cant take yesterday

They can take tomorrow and the plans we made
They can take the music that we never play
All the broken dreams, take everything
Just take it away, but they can never have yesterday
They can take the future that we'll never know
They can take the places that we said we will go
All the broken dreams take everything
Just take it away, but they can never have yesterday

I thought our days would last forever
But it wasn't our destiny
'Cause in my mind we had so much time, but I was so wrong
No I can believe that
I can still find the strength in the moments we made
I'm lookin' back on yesterday

They can take tomorrow and the plans we made
They can take the music that we never play
All the broken dreams take everything
Just take it away, but they can never have yesterday
They can take the future that we'll never know
They can take the places that we said we will go
All the broken dreams take everything
Just take it away, but they can never have yesterday

All the broken dreams take everything
But they can never have yesterday

I think this song is more likley to be about the loss of a loved one rather than an "Ex." In the chorus she refers to a "they" which i assume is like god or the powers that be up above, in death they have taken him away very suddenly. They have taken their entire future but they can never erase their past and her memories of him.

You always choose to stay, i should be thankful for everyday, heaven knows what the future Holds, or least where the story goes, i never believed untill now, i know il see you again <

This line proves with a 100% certainty it's about losing a loved one. If he always chooses to stay why would he leave. Also saying "I know I will see you again" is generally what you say about someone who has passed on. I think if an EX up and left me I would be filled with despair but also anger and rage. There is none of this in this song, it's v peaceful and tranquil. A very emotional song, I wish she had released it as a single.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
