This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.
I model lackluster panicky in vain search for the remedy
No words only melody come so I take my day off my love
My love she sits with me, I love, I love her company
Raindrops on roses and dust filled trinkets
All this washes over you, my French dog blues
Chien Bleu Chien französischer Hund
And the French dog blues
And the French dog blues by the French dog blues
Never surrender to flattery
Frown on, come down on duplicity
And above all things my son
Take the money and run
I still model lackluster panicky in vain search for the remedy
No words only melody comes, I take another day off
Oh, this washes over you, my French dog blues
Chien Bleu Chien französischer Hund
Yeah, I see you
I only ever wanted the one with the flag
All you ever wanted was a sixty dollar bag
And a cheap limousine for your deep pile dreams on the highway
On the highway, highway, oh
Chien Bleu französischer Chien
That is the French dog blues
That is the French dog blues
That is the French dog blues
That is the French dog
No words only melody come so I take my day off my love
My love she sits with me, I love, I love her company
Raindrops on roses and dust filled trinkets
All this washes over you, my French dog blues
Chien Bleu Chien französischer Hund
And the French dog blues
And the French dog blues by the French dog blues
Never surrender to flattery
Frown on, come down on duplicity
And above all things my son
Take the money and run
I still model lackluster panicky in vain search for the remedy
No words only melody comes, I take another day off
Oh, this washes over you, my French dog blues
Chien Bleu Chien französischer Hund
Yeah, I see you
I only ever wanted the one with the flag
All you ever wanted was a sixty dollar bag
And a cheap limousine for your deep pile dreams on the highway
On the highway, highway, oh
Chien Bleu französischer Chien
That is the French dog blues
That is the French dog blues
That is the French dog blues
That is the French dog

This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
Magical
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
Head > Heels

“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.
Plastic Bag

Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it.
“I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
The bit about the flag comes from the Ian Brown song, Deep Pile Dreams off his album Unfinished Monkey Business. Pretty sure it's about Ian Brown being upset that the Stone Roses floundered and never managed to crack the US ("the one with the flag") because John Squire was (possibly) taking too many drugs ("A $50 bag") and it all went pear-shaped. The "cheap limousine" I think refers to Squire living the rock lifestyle on their final tour as (iirc) he travelled separately from the rest of the band.
Remember the first time I heard this song at Babyshambles at Brixton a while ago and though crikey that sounds familiar... heehee.
Doherty a big Roses fan I guess. (Seeing as he loves The Las and Oasis).
This is a nice song and everything, one of the better ones on Shotter's nation. But does anyone think that the melody - infact the best melody in the whole song which is the verse - is just stolen from Cheated hearts by the yeah yeah yeahs??

if you're gonna act like you know what you're on about at least get it fuucking right.
jimmyfranklin, this song's been available online in various incarnations for ages; i'm pretty sure he wrote it before Show Your Bones came out (plus, the yyys are not above the occasional plagiarism themselves- e.g. 'Gold Lion'...). I think this version just stresses that melody a lot more, kind of like how the Blinding version of 'Love You But You're Green' came out sounding exactly like fucking 'Brown Eyed Girl.' Good artists borrow and great ones steal, I guess.
Class track anyway.
"fransosischer Hund" should exactly be written französischer Hund, which is german for french dog. chein blue should be written chein bleu - chein is the french word for dog, bleu is blue. In french you put the object (?) first, then the adjective. The line is chein bleu, chein französischer Hund
does anyone know who [or what, for that matter,] the "one with the flag" is? i am aware that 'not all pete's songs are about carl' etc, but the flag bit just reminds me of the union jack carl wears on his jeans. don't kill me for suggesting it.
" 'not all pete's songs are about carl' " no??
Well, Carl's the French Dog anyway, there's this drawing in the books of Albion with the French Dog (Carl) and the Pigman (Pete). So, yeah, the one with the flag IS Carl, obviously.
what page is it on?
@tackyandirrelevant it's taken from an Ian brown song actually called deep pile dream
it is about the dog on the cover of Down in Albion. Pete says "He's the immortal character, or the character of immortal technique." "He pops up in every place in London if you look closely."
3lancer? you cant even spell fucking?
