Song Or Suicide Lyrics
Sorrow rebuild me as I step out of the light
Misery strengthen me as I say my goodbyes
I heal my wounds with grief
And dream of you
And weep myself alive
Misery strengthen me as I say my goodbyes
And dream of you
And weep myself alive

i like this song alot. its short. i dont quite know what it means, but im pretty sure its simple.
ok now i think i know what this song is all about. hes wanting the strength to commit suicide.
"sorrow rebuild me as i step out of the light". hes becoming less social, but sorrow will comfort him in a some sort of sick way. "misery strengthen me as i say my goodbyes". if you've ever considered commiting suicide, you would know it takes balls to say goodbye to someone, so hes asking for more pain to give him strength to kill himself. "i heal my wounds with grief". instead of fixing his problems in a posotive way, he again is wanting a negative way to deal with him to give him strength to commit. "and dream of you" dreams of someone. "and weep myself alive" means he's crying himself back to somewhat of a sain mind and realizing that what hes doing is stupid.
this is just what i think. i dont actually know.
I think you are right playastyle :] good song! short tho ;/
This song is about Ville's friend Thurston who commited suicide. Songs are Ville's way of coping with this grief, and suicide was Thurston's way. Basically talking about how he feels the grief at all times but especially when he's alone and 'out of the light'. He recorded this by himself, in his hotel room with just his acoustic guitar. At the beginning of the song he says 'for a friend' real quickly. All of this from various interviews out this month and last month.
Dustin...not Thurston. We share the same friend. Dustin DuBois...not Thurston. Same person he wrote Kiss of Dawn for. Just had to correct that.

spot on shaddix...its not about ville contemplating suicide, its a song about how he is coping with the grief. at a wake for a funeral, you are in a dim lit room with the exception of the coffin. you walk up to the coffin to say your goodbyes, and when you step out of the light, you are back in the dim room. thats where the analogy he comes up with is from. other than that, its a song about how he still mourns while he is living.
Woooow! Thank you so much Shaddix and surfryder! I was wondering what it could be about, you can feel the pain and guess it has something to do with suicide, but last two lines approve he stays alive, so... Thx for clearing it up!
Nice song, I like it a lot, and I think it was ment to be short, the lenght was the point (maybe we can make a parallel with shortness of life, but this is only a guess)
This is an amazing song but I wish it was longer.
This song is also for a friend of Ville's who commited suicide.
where is this song from?
It sounds like he is AT the funeral. and coping with it.
