this song makes no sense at all to me :[ good song though.

I think it means that for most of his life he was fine, but now that hes killed a few people lately he regrets it espicially because everyone knows that hes killing everyone, he might also be talking to his wife about the eyes, unless hes killer her already, if not im pretty sure he has her chained up in his basement.

In Autumn, I won't be here could mean that he'll kill himself then? or he knows hes gunna die? maybe he planned everything out [the murderer]

devinxdisaster Im pretty sure he means that hes going to get caught or that hes going to move to another city. (I got the city idea because if you go on www.worsethanafairytale.com and read the first page it says that everyone in Saylor Lake left the town after 11 months.

I'm thinking also, maybe he's realizing what an uproar he's causing. Like on the album cover, when he's sitting at a desk looking at all the news headlines. Maybe he wants to stop so he cries Help.

To me "I won't be here" sounds like "I will be here", is that just me?

If you guys didn't notice the title "Donner, Party of Five".. If you haven't learned in social studies class, the donner party was a party that went a different route to go to california in the 1800's and got stuck in the winter "In Autumn I won't be here" Most people died in the winter that they were stuck, and to survive the people had to cook and eat the people who had died. "You think I'm a killer. You think these eyes belong to a murderer. Pass judgement fast, Cause that's the last look you'll get. " People thought they were murderers / killers for being cannibals.

Well, first of all, this whole thing about Saylor Lake is a fictional story that Danny Stillman, the lead singer of the band, created. And according to all the articles I read, the rest of the band got super into the idea and created the whole story line. And its the fans job to use the lyrics, and their website www.worsethanafairytale.com, to figure out the mystery of who the killer is. This website and the songs are like clues. Well, since I have been a dedicated fan for two years, I've analyzed like EVERY song. Haha. And I have this theory that the killer is a vampire. I can't find too much direct refernce to my theory in this one. But it does say "I walked in search for 18 years and died for nothing." So he's dead. It could, however, mean emotionally dead. But I don't know. Check my comments on other songs to see why I have this theory.
