I would do for you what you did to me, even kill,
But to you I am just a mirror.
Well sometimes mirrors shatter.
The shrapnel becomes deadly.
It surrounds you with no escape and you can't save her.
You can't save her.

Like a ghost, you slept in my bed.
And I fell while you tore through my neck.
When I awoke, you were already dead.
Those eyes, I'll never forget.

Make your move, take your time.
Every pawn threatens your life.
Go raise hell, come up short.
No mercy is granted here.
Best come clean, kill your stride.
Keep your head, cleanse your life.
Cause you can't save her.
You can't save her.

Like a ghost, you slept in my bed.
And I fell while you tore through my neck.
When I awoke, you were already dead.
Those eyes, I'll never forget.

"I don't care what you do to her,
You won't find her body.
I swear. I swear.
You find her body.
In time the rain with every season,
Will wash the bones down the river."

I would do for you what you did to me, even kill.
But to you I am just a mirror.
Well sometimes mirrors shatter.
The shrapnel becomes deadly.

"I swear. I swear. You won't find her body."

Death is upon all of us. It comes in the shape of an angel.

I think you are right but i think though that she didnt know at first but once she found out she would also let him do what he wanted so he wouldnt know that she knew but once he knew she cracked and tried telling someone but the only thing he could do it kill her and send her away in the river maybe idk

And also its my favorite aswell

judging from the first two victims on the site, the killer seems to lure young women, drug them, rape them, and then kill them.

This song sounds like he just killed the 2 victim (each track is a different victim) and was killed by a would be victim. Of course, because he's a psychopath, we only get his twisted vision on things, so each victim could be a "wife" that he kills for their sins? I dunno it's confusing as hell. :p

I think each victim is a girl he thinks he's saving by killing.

In most of the songs he talks about saving/killing but in this one he say he cant save her.. interesting..

I'm not positive but theres a chance he could be a skitso, almost like in the movie Mr. Brooks where the killer kills with his imaginary friend. But in this scenario the other killer is a wife or girlfriend of some sort..

maybe he was killing her, or hurt her so badly she was slowly dying before he fell asleep.. and maybe she did something to his neck, and when he woke up she had died

and he threw her body in the river, saying no one will ever find it. i don't know. i love his voice in this one xx

Well, first of all, this whole thing about Saylor Lake is a fictional story that Danny Stillman, the lead singer of the band, created. And according to all the articles I read, the rest of the band got super into the idea and created the whole story line. And its the fans job to use the lyrics, and their website worsethanafairytale.com, to figure out the mystery of who the killer is. This website and the songs are like clues. Well, since I have been a dedicated fan for two years, I've analyzed like EVERY song. Haha. And I have this theory that the killer is a vampire.

This one, to me, is about him finally getting his revenge on the girl who burdened him the most. The girl who turned him into one. She slept with him, then bit him.

"I would do for you what you did to me, even kill, But to you I am just a mirror. Well sometimes mirrors shatter. The shrapnel becomes deadly. It surrounds you with no escape and you can't save her. You can't save her."

Yes, he says he can't save her, because shes ALREADY a vampire. And the other girls, he saved them because by using other tactics to kill them to get their blood, he never bit their necks. Because if he did, they would all become killers. And the whole town would be on a killing spree. So really he was saving them all. Notice how after this killing, he stops. Because I don't think he could let himself rest in peace until he knew the vampire was dead.

"Like a ghost, you slept in my bed. And I fell while you tore through my neck. When I awoke, you were already dead. Those eyes, I'll never forget."

Well, she tore through his neck, right? Wouldn't that kill him? But no, he awoke. And she was dead. This is refernce to the night he turned into the vampire.

"Make your move, take your time. Every pawn threatens your life. Go raise hell, come up short. No mercy is granted here. Best come clean, kill your stride. Keep your head, cleanse your life."

...Well, this woman is obviously killing too.

Death is upon all of us. It comes in the shape of an angel.

--I think he's talking about her. She is the death of the town. She kills. And she's probably like an angel - seems innocent, gorgeous, intriguing. Amazing.

My theory is obvsiouly really insane. And no, I'm not even into vampires or anything. But this all seemed right to me.

you're theory is not all that insane... it explains the other killings in the newspaper headlines on the cover someone else is killing (and they're guys that can't be explained!)

Although your theory is great (and really bravo) it's a tad farfetched.

    vampires? really?

Tearing through his neck could be kissing his neck...passionate love making and the eyes he won't forget ...maybe he killed her during and looked at her?

    anyhoo

    HOWEVER

I swear you won't find her body

is also a vampire reference... those who believe in vampires also believe they disintegrate in the air once they truly die therefore proving true the killers last statement about the body that will never be found.

ok this has nothing to do with vampires this murders up its on the very left its really hard to find but it speaks for itself... the pastor is killed. well i think the pastor was the killer. it would make sense that if he died the killings would stop also this is the first one that a gun is used. it sayed that there was a struggle maybe he was going to kill someone else and the girl had a gun to protect herself and killed him. anyways drawing the devil had the pastor as a reference saying he tied the devils own hand. well it also said her weakness was laughter. he hung her so maybe it meant that he tied the devils hand by shutting her up and hanging her. well tell me what you think

the songs also have a theme of helping the girls escape or taking their lives because they are guilty of a crime. towards the end this changes but i think the pastor thought he was helping the girls by killing them and at the end he killed to keep his secret.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
