Some are fortunate enough to be with their first love - others, not so much. I'm the not so much one. I'm engaged, but this song still reminds me of my first love. And unfortunately, he slept around behind my back and lied to me the entire year we were together. So it's also a closure thing. The less closure you have, the more likely you are to be affected by it. I'm in love with my fiance - I broke up with my first love to be with him - and if my first love asked for another chance, I'd probably laugh in his face. But even so, he was my first real kiss, the first guy whose arms I fell asleep in, the first guy I ever opened my heart to.
