Amerikhastan Lyrics

Recruiting the ill-fated for the war,
A legion of uneducated bankrupt souls,
with a lust for revenge,
Answering the call,
From Newyorkhatar to Callifarabia.
Desperation provides fertile ground,
For religious extremism,
This glorious brainwashing where prejudice lies, Like a crouching tiger,
Tormenting the peasents till they erect an army,
Under everyones nose,
In the end propoganda destroys the DNA,
God help them."

All that they envisioned
of what things would come to be
Turned into a pink mist
When they blew to smitherenes
We are just a war away from Amerikhastan
With god vs. god, the undoing of man

Promising the vapour
In the end they become one

"No rules of engagement,
This enemy hides amongst women and children.
And to beat violence,
You must ignore the focus groups,
You must set into the mossaf,
Turn off the BBC and CNN
And don't look back.
Rest assured there'll be no more
Middle eastern crisis, Hell there'll be no more Middle east.
These are your people lady liberty,
Pull up your dress today,
And tattoed is "property with USA.
a subsidiary of Haliburton
Surprise.
But a glory mine is about,
To be unleashed on earth.
Hey,Jihad Joe, guess what?
We're comin' to get you."

All that they envisioned
of what things would come to be
Turns into a death knell
When you look behind the scenes
We are just a war away from Amerikhastan
With god vs. god, the undoing of man

The first verse describes the way the U.S. Government used current events and the news media to convince the people that we needed to start a "war on terror." A social commentary on the way the american people were rallied to support the war effort.

In the same way the Nation of Islam uses religious extremism to rule its people, the current administration has continuously tried to use christian fundamentalism to create a "god vs. god" mentality in its people in spite of the fact that it's the same damn religion.

"Promising the vapour - in the end they become one" is the most profound line here. If the christian right succeeds in destroying religous fundamentalism in the middle east it breaks ground for an oppressive christian leadership here.

@kokoutsu and corporations (Halliburton, CNN etc.), which at this point are the real ''government''

in my opinion this song is how america is threatening to become just like the arab states. a fanatical country terrorizing the world. problem is america has more power than a bunch of goat herders so this is a grim future he is describing

These lyrics don't bear any relation to what he actually says. The album came with the lyrics in the booklet, did you just make these up?

how come hardly anyone has posted. This song blew my mind the first time I heard it. The meaning is pretty obvious, it is just about the war and Dave Mustaine's stance on it.

I think it's a little more complicated than just Dave's thoughts on the war. It's sort of a "what if?" scenario, about terrorists taking over the US from within, and his call to arms to fight back. There's a lot going on in these lyrics that I'm not sure of yet, though.

I think this song is 'looking into the future' where terrorists rule the world. I found the "Rest assured there'll be no more Middle eastern crisis, Hell there'll be no more Middle east" part funny.

It's "GI Joe", not "Jihad Joe"... unless it's a play on words. Which it probably is, since there's a few in this song.
