You're Gone Lyrics
You were Young, You were bright
You were beautiful, You were everything
Anyone could want from a child
You were not supposed to leave this world that way
You were not supposed to leave this world that day
You would scribble down the lyrics in Your favorite song
On Your notebook in school
when Your days were long
And it ment so much for me to know
That You ment so much You'll never know
You're gone and we all miss You
Listen to these songs
You're alive in every one
Are You smiling down
Are You still singing
Were You with us all along
Do You like what we've become
Did I meet You in the crowd at one of our shows
Did I see You in the faces that all come and go
Did I ever take the time to just say thanks
Was I to caught up in my life to ask You Your name
The truth is that this life is that we're all in it together
That's what You said to me in all your pictures and your letters
Somehow I believe that You would make me better
In my heart I know You're gonna live forever
You're gone and we all miss You
Listen to these songs
You're alive in every one
Are You smiling down
Are You still singing
Were You with us all along
Do You like what we've become
You were beautiful, You were everything
Anyone could want from a child
You were not supposed to leave this world that way
You were not supposed to leave this world that day
On Your notebook in school
when Your days were long
And it ment so much for me to know
That You ment so much You'll never know

You're alive in every one

The last part goes like this:
Are you smiling down Are you still singing Everyday that passes by We celebrate your life Can you hear us now For you we're singing Every song that's in our lives I know we'll never be apart
Da H8RRR ... really? why bother posting?
I don't believe this song is associated with suicide at all, I think it's about a fan who maybe had a terminal illness, like cancer, who perhaps contacted the band to let them know how much they loved them but they never responded while they were alive, and so this song is a tribute to them, and probably the best way a band can respond to a fan, through a song. It makes me think of my little brother who passed away from cancer in 2008, he was only young but loved Good Charlotte so much, it's nice to know the boys would do this for someone. Good song (: !
YES!!
YES!!
I love this song. it reminds me of my bffe who killed himself back in april 2006. it helps me move on past the hurt and yeah it's just a really good song.
I love this song it is one of the best ones from GC in my opinion. To me it means that about someone who killed themselves and the band members are saying that no matter what happened, that person will always live in their hearts and everyone else. ..kind of reminds me of what my friend use to tell me
"the truth about this life is that we're all in it together, that's what you said to me in all your pictures and your letters." - my favorite part.
when i hear this song, i think about maybe all the kids that may have killed themselves even after "hold on" that they couldn't save and it's just kind of GC's thank you song to every kid who is gone now.
what does this song mean to me??? nothing, this band sux, their lyrics suck. their whole career is a fluke. but i guess this song is great for an emo cutter, or some other douche bag fish
