Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.
Allow what's done to preach new insight to your life
Hindsight is perfect vision
The past is easiest to see
Clear a path
Stand aside
We're carrying the torch now
Clear a path
Stand aside
We're carrying the torch now
Clear a path
Stand aside
There's no stopping us
Clear a path
Stand aside
We're carrying the torch now
Clear a path
Stand aside
There's no stopping us
You might think you're everything to everyone, to everyone
Go ahead
Partake in it
Justify it
Become engulfed in it
It will eat you alive
This is not a one way road
You're headed for the dead end
This is not a one way road
You're headed for the dead end
You might think you're everything to everyone
Well pardon me if I intrude
You might think you're everything to everyone
You're not a perfect man in a perfect world
Look at where your ignorance has brought you
All this will be buried
Like the fall of Rome
Look at where your ignorance has brought you
You will come crashing down
The truth hurts (The truth hurts)
The truth hurts (The truth hurts)
The truth hurts (The truth hurts), but denial's what will kill you
All that you loved, all that you treasure, will pass with time
Will pass with time
Blinded by the inability to see beyond flesh and blood
Blinded by the inability to see beyond flesh and blood
Shifting blame with a log in your eye
Insisting that a string tied to your limbs is what's to blame
What's to blame
Suck it up and bite the bullet

Fast Car

"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him.
There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
It's about becoming a Christian. And how non-Christians go around like nothing's wrong with their life and nothing is missing. "Go ahead, partake in it, justify it. Become engulfed in it." That's saying you know you're doing something wrong, but you're justifying it, and making excuses for everything you're not doing. And even for some Christians out there. Some of us have become lazy and have not taken going to Church seriously. We're not supposed to live our life the way we want to, but the way God wants us to. And if you don't believe this then... "The truth hurts, but denials what will kill you."
God doesn't want you to go to church. God doesn't want you to have any rules. I believe if God does exist, he wants you to live your life and ignore all the extra religion bullshit. As long as you truly love God and try to live your life to please him you will go to heaven. Church-going and reading the bible has nothing to do with God.

I mean no offence to you, as I was raised Christian, but I thought about it on my own, and to me the bible is just another way to convince people they have to be religious to get to heaven. My point is, you don't need a label to get in. Saying you're a 'christian' is labelling yourself. God doesn't care what you call yourself, as long as your heart is in the right place.
AdamBurnsRed, What was the message that God was sending when the Angel Gabriel showed himself to Abraham?
Now what I get from that message is that man is given power from God as well. Fact is that Jesus died on the cross to give us free will. It is God who gave us eyes to see the sun, it is God who gave us hands to work. It is God who gave us ears to hear, it is also God that gave us our mental capacity of understanding His grace and Awesome power. Sure He wants us to recognize the gifts were given, who wouldn't? Now don't you think that the same being who gave us everything would include the freedom of our own choices? "Everything is permissible, but not everything is beneficial." 1 Corinthians 6:11-13
Yes, God wants us to live our life but we must sacrifice ourselves to go to church and pray and fast and read the bible. He sacrificed his only begotten son for us and its the least we can do to live for Him. We must not live in flesh but live in the spirit more because what is this world to us if its going to end, Jesus is everlasting life and if you can sacrifice yourself here on earth just for Him then He will give you the gift of salvation. READ YOUR BIBLE!
