Allow what’s done to preach new insight to your life.
Hindsight is perfect vision.
The past is easiest to see.
Clear a path, Stand aside.
We’re carrying the torch now,
There’s no stopping us.
You think you’re everything to everyone.
Go ahead, Partake in it,Justify it. Become engulfed in it.
It will eat you alive.
This is not a one way road,
You’re headed for the dead end.
You might think you’re everything to everyone.
Well pardon me if I intrude.
You’re not a perfect man in a perfect world, Look at where your ignorance has brought you.
All this will be buried.
Like the fall of Rome, you will come crashing down.
The truth hurts, but denial’s what will kill you.
All that you loved, all that you treasure, will pass with time.
Blinded by the inability to see beyond flesh and blood.
Shifting blame with a log in your eye. Insisting that a string tied to your limbs is what’s to blame.

Suck it up and bite the bullet.

General CommentIt's about becoming a Christian. And how non-Christians go around like nothing's wrong with their life and nothing is missing. "Go ahead, partake in it, justify it. Become engulfed in it." That's saying you know you're doing something wrong, but you're justifying it, and making excuses for everything you're not doing. And even for some Christians out there. Some of us have become lazy and have not taken going to Church seriously. We're not supposed to live our life the way we want to, but the way God wants us to. And if you don't believe this then... "The truth hurts, but denials what will kill you."

General CommentAwesome song. Further proof that Matt is one of the best and most versatile drummers in metal right now and that JB is one of the best songwriters. Can't wait for the new album on June 19th.

General Commentit sounds like a person that just keeps using excuses his/her' whole life and that will be his/her's downfall. THIS SONG IS SO AMAZING.

General CommentAdamBurnsRed I think is the closest although all have had bits that are close. I think it is a call to every faithful christian to stop talking the talk and to start walking the walk. I totally agree with the engulfing part about so many people christian and non christian that justify the things they do in life by just doing and not accepting the consequences of their decisions. But the last stanza is interesting with the "log in the eye" reference from the Bible. Basically being stated that people that are commiting wrongs have no place in telling others their faults when they are just as wrong.

General CommentThe lyric "Shifting blame with a log in your eye" refers to a Bible verse that attacks people who are basically "the pot calling the kettle black". I can't remember the exact phrasing of the verse right now, but it basically says "why worry about the splinter in your neighbor's eye when you have a plank of wood in your own"?
