Dance Floor Anthem Lyrics
Shes going out to forget they were together
All that time he was taken her granted
She wants to see if theres more than he gave, shes lookin for,
He calls her up hes trippin' on the phone now
He doesn't want her out there and alone now
Knows shes moving it, knows shes using it
Now he's losing it and she dont care
Everybody put your hands up say, I don't wanna be in love,
Feel the beat now if you got nothing left say I dont wanna be in love
Don't give up now, you got a reason to live say, I don't wanna be in love
Feeling good now, don't be afraid to get down say, I don't wanna be in love
He was always giving her attention
Working hard to buy the things she mentioned
He was dedicated by most suckers hated
That girl was fine but she didn't appreciate him
She calls him up, shes trippin on the phone now
He had to get out and he ain't coming home now
Now lets try to forget it that's how he got with her
When he first met her and when they first got together
Chorus
To the beat , to the beat, to the beat, you got nothing to lose don't be afraid to get down
We break up, its something that we do now,
Everyon has got to do it sometime
Its ok, let it go, get out there and find someone (some more)
Its too late to be trippin on the phone here
Get off the wire everything is good here
Stop what you are doingyou don't wanna ruin the sex that you got to find a new one
Chorus

he starts by describing a boy who really liked a girl. he was completely devoted to her and always gave her all his attention. he did everything he could to win her. the girl doesn't really like him that much though and doesn't return his love. she is just using him as a standby and kind of plays with his heart since she keeps thinking that there must be someone better out there. he calls her and he's "tripping" because he feels like he's losing the connection and his love...he's paranoid about what she could be doing without him.
he later realizes that his relationship with her is going to be futile and starts to give up and try to forget her. he's carrying on with his own life now, recovering from his heartbreak and getting out. but now finally the girl realizes that she needed that boy, so now she calls him "trippin on the phone line". but it's just too late; he's already moved on. so now she's heartbroken too. and then they break up.
the song is saying that love basically sucks and is full of heartbreak. everyone goes through it though and it's okay...we should get up and move on. it's better that we just never fall in love.
i actually love this song ive just broken up with my boyfriend and i think this is guna be the song to get me through it
Nice song. But i don't really understand the drug references, that's is there are any and I'm not just reading into it wrongly, but hmmm. "trippin" and "he had to get out" and "she's using"
looove this song. it's so catchy.
i love this song. i dont know if they are drug references i think that they may just be him being nervouse and studdering or something "He calls her up hes trippin' on the phone now He doesn't want her out there and alone now" hes trying to get her back because he is worried about her out in the world all alone
this is my favorite song on the album. i'm tired of all those songs out there that are for people 'in love'... finally a song for people like me!! :)
Call me crazy but I think that the lyrics in the bridge go: Stop what you're doing You don't wanna ruin The chance that you got To find a new one
Instead of the "sex" that you got. But maybe it's just me. All in all awesome song to dance to and remind all of us that although break ups are tough, being single can be crazy fun too!
It's definitely "the chance" not "the sex." And I'm pretty sure those aren't drug references, it's just referring to the fact that they're calling and they're very emotional. You break up with somebody and then you see that person having a good time and it kinda sucks, you get jealous. "He doesn't want her out there" not because he's scared of her being all alone and getting hurt, but because he's scared of her being all alone and finding someone new.
Good Charlotte has definitely gone in a direction I wasn't really expecting. They're more dancy, sort of poppy than they used to be, but I don't hate it. I really like this song. It's totally how I feel right now. The first verse is what I'm going through and I don't want to be in love!
the best song on the record - in my opinion. really catchy. even though it's poppy and i actually DON't want them to be poppy...
but even though this song is good the album is quite disappointing (again) i can't help but feel, that most songs were written loveless. there are a few good songs on it (like the river, keep your hands off my girl, the broken hearts parade and this song) those four songs will be released, because they are really good - no doubt about that! and the rest is just filler...
maybe i just need to listen to album more often...
