Golden Age Lyrics
Put your hands on the wheel,
Let the golden age begin.
Let the window down,
Feel the moonlight on your skin.
Desert of wind,
Cool your aching head.
Weight of the world,
Drift away instead.
Ohhh-ohh-oh, these days I hardly get by,
I don't even try.
There's a treacherous road,
With a desolated view.
As distant lights,
Hear their foreign view.
Sun don't shine,
Even when it's day.
Drive all night,
Just to feel like you're okay.
Ohhh-ohh-oh, these days I barely get by,
I don't even try.
I don't even try.
Let the golden age begin.
Let the window down,
Feel the moonlight on your skin.
Desert of wind,
Cool your aching head.
Weight of the world,
Drift away instead.
I don't even try.
With a desolated view.
As distant lights,
Hear their foreign view.
Sun don't shine,
Even when it's day.
Drive all night,
Just to feel like you're okay.
I don't even try.
I don't even try.

This is a cover of Becks song Golder Age on the Sea Change album. You might look at the entries for the orgintal songs for the meaning ;-)
I think the cover is ok but it doesn't quite reach Becks emotional depth. Sea Change is a concept album about the mess one goes through after a long standing relationship ends. So it is best listened to as a whole.
