Close Your Eyes.... It's Okay To Rest Now Lyrics
I've lost you somewhere in forever
So lets start this all over
Because all of this seems to familiar
Like the darkness that hides my past
Like the knife you stuck into my back
And this time it feels so right
Lets set the tone tonight
Somehow I've found home
Somehow I've found home again
I might seem lifeless
But I'm not dead
Help me pick up the pieces
So I can you again
Close your eyes, it's okay to rest now
Somehow I've found home
Somehow I've found home again
So lets start this all over
Because all of this seems to familiar
Like the darkness that hides my past
Like the knife you stuck into my back
Lets set the tone tonight
Somehow I've found home
Somehow I've found home again
But I'm not dead
Help me pick up the pieces
So I can you again
Somehow I've found home again

This song is obviously not about God.
When have you heard of God sticking a knife in your back? Never.
Its about a girl.
Rated 0 rate down rate up Honestly, I think it is about God. & I disagree with you PorcelainXombie. "Like the knife you stuck into my back" doesn't have to be a symbol of betrayal in this song. It could mean that God did something in his life to punish him, hurt him and show him he needs to turn back to him and "pick up the pieces". It could've been about a punishment from God he had to face that finally woke him and and made him think he needs to start all over. A Christian guy in a Christian band would...

This is def. about losing faith, And walking away from God.
this song is such a good song!!..i agree too with dreaminginoceans i think the part "close your eyes,it's okay to rest" is about being with God and knowing ur gonna be okay

i guess it is about god but id rather look at this as not a christian thing, no offense.
my version: the guy lost "communication" with the girl, but it was his fault. so he wants to start it over. he finally realizes that it was his fualt because he got lost in the riddles that they said to each other. and he wants to make it right. so he wants to set the tone so that he doesnt get confused again about the girl. he tells her something and however she answers back will be how he will think for now on about her. to the girl, he just isnt the right person, but he tells her that he needs her help. he tells her to close her eyes and rest because he finally figured it out and will make things right.
