I've been lost in translation
At this point niggas feel vacant
Out the window who the fuck peeking
Inner conscience stay screaming
Can't believe it I stay sinking
Gasp for air meters in the deep end
In my fortress of solitude it's better I'm alone
Got a couple of screws loose
I'm smoking till I'm happy but how long will that shit last me?
Foot on the gas and the brick wall is ahead of me
Never pull back move forward like a centipede
Crawling out my ear going mad like Ken Kaneki
Black wings black teeth tar stained lungs
Eyes bleed nose rot with cuts on my tongue
Words slice deep maybe worse than a blade
Paint these strokes of death you can start to call me Slade
Depression creeping up I'm feeling peace in the rain
An almighty push will help get me through this pain
I tend to look for dreams that are hidden in the leaves
Never leave the tsukuyomi this a better scene
Turn the lights red and begin to feel the rage
Ghosts of my home let me go and burn some sage
Reminded of my past every time I wake up
So I never go to sleep, more coffee in my cup
No rest for the wicked still haunted by my guilt
Destined to destroy everything that I've built
Fashion nigga walk up in the function with a kilt
Smoking everyday so I can try and feel the thrill
Dennis Anderson bury bodies I'm the gravedigger
Barrel at my temple and my finger's on the trigger
I wrote you a letter I hope you get it
Life goes on regardless of what the message
I can't please the public my thoughts escape and I let em
Head high chin up confident when I'm stepping uh
I'm from the Den so it's obvious what I'm reppin
Do it for the Zen I been pushing us up for leverage
Thought that we was friends but I'm sorry its cut and severed
I burn bridges I can swim in any weather uh
My shadowboxing against me
Moving stealthy like I been picking pockets for pennies
Don't know how I got here it's six o'clock and I'm dizzy
I don't need nobody I'll send em off if they let me
I ain't riding waves I'm sending shots at the levees
I ain't getting caught I can't share a pot with a celly
I bossed up so it's a given that they resent me
Please don't tempt me please don't tempt me please don't tempt me
Had to switch it up because the match up wasn't straight
We was in the cut smoking backwoods to the face
Now it's straight paper lil grabba for the taste
Just know I keep it raw ain't no swishers like I'm Dray
Been rolling with the clique you can call it copy paste
Erasing my mistakes by going harder everyday
Times be getting tough, I keep my head up and I'm straight
But this life can break you down it's getting harder every day
I ain't pessimistic but my realism be chasing me
I think it's getting better but this life can feel like make-believe
Maybe all these systems causing schisms in my sanctity
At times I'm feeling bitter like this strife ain't worth my sanity
Gotta keep it pushing no escaping hard labor
Ain't no substitution for consistency it's plenty
Though my dreams ain't lucid they got a distinct flavor
They can call you foolish but in time they gonna envy

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
