My mother says you were
A body in the rain
A rotting corpse found in the gallows
I wan to take you home
I wan to play dress up
I wan to show you off!
Oh, oh!

I tried some puppeting
I used some rope and string
Nothing could make you dance like
How you used to
I admit that I flipped out
I tossed your bones about
How your soul came down
You taught me, you told me secrets

How we're fed chemicals
By diabolicals
Tiny little shits in suits
Who do not give a fuck

And when our bodies fail
Guess who will have pills to sell
Those tiny little shits in suits
Who do not give a fuck

We're force fed chemicals
By diabolicals
Tiny little shits in suits
Who do not give a fuck

When our bodies fail
Guess who will have pills to sell
Those tiny little shits in suits
Who do not give a
Do not give a
Do not give a
Do not give a!!!

Holy SHIT. This song is so fucking good.

It's just spastic and crazy... and it just makes you want to get up and dance.

The ending and how it flows right into the filler track makes me shiver with delight.

haha great message. This song is called Dress Up on teh record though even though it's been known as Shits In Suits for so long, I guess the Shits in Suits didn't want shits in the title lol.

To bad the kid's comment above me is lame. This song is about pharmaceutical companies. Hence the "Guess who will have the pills to sell". Pharmaceutical companies are infamous for not caring about the users of theirdrugs, only about profits. Clear things up?

The song meaning the song deals with a relationship, he controls the relationship, he aslo controls her and telling her nothing can make you be like you use to be

The last verse really seems to be about pharmaceutical companies, but how do the first two relate?

    the first two

    haha

the guy find a dead body on a rope on the gallows thinks its a friend hence play dress up...

    tried puppeting...

maybe he knew the body since "nothing could make you dance like how you used to"

the body was no fun got tossed around ghost of the body scolds the finder

I was thinking that this was about this guy's lover or friend who died. And I think that all of the first two lyrics are symbolic of how he's trying to get over her and how he's been striving to go on through life without her. but it won't work. He said that he "WANTS to take [her] home" but he can't. and as far as the puppeting goes, that's when he's trying to get back to the way things were. and then it kind of reflects his anger towards the pharmeceutical companies because that would be how she died. like an overdose? hehe, that's my twisted opinion. but I can be wrong. I'm wrong a lot. >.<

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"
