Smashing through the boundaries
Storming through the burning fields
Stand before the evil one
Look towards the morning sun
Falling under skies of pain

Soul is searching endlessly
Crashing over seven seas,
Torture in the winter skies,
Riding over plains of ice,
Shadows in the fields of the slain!

Crashing steel and raging fury
Smash the glass destroy the army
Crush the legions of the twilight
Give us our steel on the way

Cry far away as we reach for the day
Blasting our way through the punishment and the pain
Reach for the war as the sky begins to fall
Rising through the darkened ashes
We'll never see our world

Far away and ever onwards see the day
For today the everlasting eternal sun
Washed away the dreams of a brighter day
Forever hold the dream inside
The chance to fight another fight
The breaking hearts will stand for all our lives
With tonight, woah, woah?

Watch you die, I watch you die inside
While fate controls your life
And reject this animosity
That's piercing every mind
You feel the power, do believe
The fear you hold inside
Choose to find a reason for the treason
Now you will be mine

Screams of pain are not the same
And rise again from hell, defending
Power of hearts within the fire
Warriors of hell fear the slain

Rise through the pain
And the sun will rise again,
Day after day but the memories never change
Stand before the storm as the last horizon falls
Riding on the wings of hell
The innocence of our souls

Far away and ever onwards see the day
For today the everlasting eternal sun
Washed away the dreams of a brighter day
Forever hold the dream inside
The chance to fight another fight
The breaking hearts will stand for all our lives
With tonight, woah, woah?

Far away and ever onwards see the day
For today the everlasting eternal sun
Washed away the dreams of a brighter day
Forever hold the dream inside
The chance to fight another fight
The breaking hearts will stand for all our lives
With tonight, woah, woah?

Yeah!

Why would we care if all of their songs sound similar? They all rock! I honestly believe that DragonForce marks the rise of the nerd. You can't deny that one day we will rule the world, when all the dumb asses make such complex computerized weapons that only a super nerd could work it, then we will rule.

Sounds like it should be the soundtrack to Final Fantasy or something of the like.

Here are the corect lyrics, with my explication.

Smashing through the boundaries Storming through the burning fields (this is a reference to the song storming burning feilds. Which precedes this one on the album an refers to a battle against evil in holy guise concealed.) -----> Stand before the evil one, on towards the morning sun (Morning-star is another name for Lucifer.) Falling under skies of pain

Still theyr're searching endlessly Crashing over seven seas Torture in the winter sky, riding over plains of ice Shadows in the fields of the slain

Crashing steel and raging fury Smash the west, destroy the army (One source suggets that this says cross another quest, however by isolating and slowing the section I have discovered that it actually seems to say west. perhaps very contrivercial if true.) -----> Crush the legions of the twilight ("Low men cast long shadows." -Stephen King. In otherwords those who come at twilight are the servants of The Crimson King, or in this case lucifer.) -----> Templars of steel overrun. (Templars of steel reffers to the Knights Templar, for as we all know "Swords are made of steel.")

Cry far away, as we reach for the day Blasting our way through the punishment and the pain (it is slightly drawled so it's hadt to tell but with close analysis I've found that this line does begin with the word "blasting") -----> Reach for the wall, as the sky begins to fall (As in run for the wall, the meaning it had to POWs while they were still imprisoned no memorial had ben build and they hadn't become bikers.) -----> Rising through the darkened ashes Praying that I'll you all (The speaker, like any prisoner of war, waishes to be reunited with his comrades in arms.)

Far away, will our eyes now see the day For today, the everlasting eternal sun washed away, the dreams of a brighter day (This section may or may not speak literally of the sun. One interpritation could be that Lucifer, Rain, Elogin, the tyranus sun-god by any name remains standing taking away hope.) -----> Forever hold the dream inside The chance to fight another fight The breaking hearts that stand for all our li-i-ives Live tonight (The second section of the chorus speaks of the perseverance of good and the will of the hero to continue.)

Watch you die I watch you die inside While fear controls your life (Fear is the weapon of evil that is used to controll the masses.) Then reject this animosity That killed so many minds (Hatred takes away the senses, one should reject the hatred of their fellow humans that allows evil to take hold.) -----> We feel the power deep within The fear you hold inside Just to find the reason for the treason Now you will be mine (Here evil speaks briefly through the speaker explaining that your fear gives it power and it will use any excuse to make you betray your fellows and take possession of you.)

Screams of pain in death descending (Dying hurts. Just a warning for any of you Dragonforce fans who didn't realize that. I'm sure quite a few of you hadn't eve given it a thought.) -----> Rise again from hell defending (A metphor for redemption of those who have done evil.) Play the harps, we'll lift the fire (or prossibly "Burn their hearts within the fire" Which would give a very different meaning. As is it is an extention of the redemption metaphor.) -----> Warriors of light will be slain (Wariors of light reffers to Illuminati, Cabalists, or posssibly Masons.)

Rise through the pain, like the sun will rise again Day after day but the memories never change Stand before the storm, as the last horizon (Horizon = Egpt Horus: Egyptian sun-god. Grk Horos: boundary. IE. Smashing through the boundaries / Stand before the vild one, on towards the morning sun.) -----> Blinded by the vision and the innocence of our souls (The innocent may see no evil. and some forsight has brought some confusion to the matter.)

Far away, will our eyes now see the day for today, the everlasting eternal sun washed away, the dreams of a brighter day Forever hold the dream inside The chance to fight another fight The breaking hearts that stand for all our li-i-ives Live tonight

Far away, will our eyes now see the day for today, the everlasting eternal sun...

Far away, will our eyes now see the day for today, the everlasting eternal sun Washed away, the dreams of a brighter day Forever hold the dream inside The chance to fight another fight The breaking hearts that stand for all our li-i-ives Live tonight

I think I got the Lyrics right. ^_^"

I was shocked to see that there were no lyrics for this...and now look! It's the new Single! ^_^

    The video Kicks Ass too!

    youtube.com/watch

The song pretty much has the same meaning as all of the other DragonForce songs..."let's just kick some ass!"

Slaying down evil, destroying armies, trying to forget all the slaughter etc...>.>...

Sigh... can't believe that they cut the intro out of the video...that was my favourite part...but then again...this song has much more "build-up" then any of there other songs...the solo's build up and flare, rather than just fang it. Um...yeah...that didn't make sense huh? Oh well...just watch the video or better yet...buy the album...best thing I ever opened my wallet for...

i think the things in the sky are like aliens or something, repesenting the apocolipes or something. love how they made the end look like DDR or that guitar game, with stuff like "Sick Combo" and other score related phrases

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
