Until The End Lyrics

So clever
whatever
I'm done with these endevours
alone I walk the winding way
(here I stay)

It's over
no longer
I feel it growing stronger
I live to die another day
until I fade away

why give up?
why give in?
it's not enough
it never is
So I will go on until the end

We've become desolate
It's not enough
it never is
But I will go on until the end

Surround me
It's easy
to fall apart completely
I feel you creeping up again
(in my head)

it's over
no longer
I feel it growing colder
I knew this day would come to end
so let this life begin

why give up?
why give in?
it's not enough
it never is
So I will go on until the end

We've become desolate
It's not enough
it never is
But I will go on until the end

I've lost my way
I've lost my way
but I will go on until the end

Living is hard enough
we fell too far
fuck it up

why give up?
why give in?
it's not enough
it never is
So I will go on until the end

I've lost my way
I've lost my way
but I will go on until the end

the final fight I win
the final fight I win
the final fight I win
but I will go on until the end

This song is about persisting through life's hassles and obstacles despite negativity and depression.

It's also about taking a risk or having the will to improve things the best you can, because tommorrow will have another challenge for you too. It's something you must eventually accept and learn to deal with, but overcoming this is what gives you strength in life.

And mostly, to live on as long as you can, which is the final fight, to survive as long as possible.

@Psikou Could not have said it any better my self.

This song really speaks to me for some reason. A lot has gone on in my life this summer. Three of the most important things in my life were either lost or "damaged". My dad was diagnosed with a rare form of advanced cancer that has spread everywhere in his body. The same day, I told my gf of over a year and 15mins later she broke up with me (my first "love" i guess you could say). Finally, I'm a track runner and I have a degenerative knee and back condition that I can recover from, but its gonna be a long, hard road to recovery. All that happened in a weeks time. So when I heard this song today it gave me a renewed drive to get over my gf, to fight back against my injury, and most importantly, to keep fighting and supporting this disease my dad is afflicted with. When life gets hard, give it your all because even if "It's not enough" whats the point in quiting? "why give up? why give in?" Just put your head bown and plow through.

The album is called phobia and this song, to me, is dealing with the fear of failure or giving up in even the most extreme circumstances when it seems that all hope is lost. It may mean something entirely different to the next person...but this song really inspires me to keep going, esspecially when my dad is going through something so much worse. Pray for him to beat this and keep it up Breaking Benjamin.

@paps43 Wow what an awful woman.

The intro is amazing...and i definately agree with Psikou and paps43 on this one...It's one of those "whats the use of giving up...there's so much more out there" types of things

Like the majority of the other songs on this album, it's about a girl, or a past relationship. From looking at the lyrics for the entire song, I would guess that the girl was cynical, somewhat hopeless about life, but who also pumps herself up with a superiority complex:

(Verse One) "So clever, whatever, I'm done with these endevours - alone I walk the winding way, (here I stay) It's over, no longer, I feel it growing stronger - I live to die another day, until I fade away."

You think you're so smart? Fine, I'm done with you - I'm going to go on alone, and I will not give up on life while there is still breath in this body. The chorus is him commenting about her attitude towards life, and possible towards their relationship - the line "It's not enough, it never is" could either refer to her dissatisfaction with life, or his behaviour in their relationship. Perhaps it refers to both:

(Basic Chorus) "why give up? why give in? it's not enough, it never is - so I will go on until the end. We've become desolate - it's not enough, it never is - but I will go on until the end."

The second verse is his commentary on how he currently views her and their relationship. I got wrapped up in you, and your inability to cope with and be happy in life. I love you, and even though it's over, you still creep into my mind from time to time. But I had a feeling this was coming, so I am going to keep on living life:

(Verse Two) "Surround me, it's easy, to fall apart completely - I feel you creeping up again, (in my head) It's over, no longer, I feel it growing colder - I knew this day would come to end, so let this life begin."

Some additional lines are added after the chorus is repeated. While I was with you, I became distracted from where I am supposed to be - but I am going to keep on living. Smarten up, woman - life is difficult enough without you making it more difficult on yourself:

(Extended Chorus) "I've lost my way, I've lost my way, but I will go on until the end. Living is, hard enough, without you fucking up!"

The final repeat of the chorus also includes some additional lines, replacing the second section with his view on the future. Things were difficult between us at times, and you may think that you are better than me, or that you were the winner in the conflict between us - however, I haven't given up on life, so I win in the end!:

(Final Chorus Ending) "The final fight I win, the final fight I win. The final fight I win, but I will go on until the end."

The_Fifth_Element pretty much said exactly what I think about the song, every time I listened to it I got the idea of this guy who was with someone although he loved her very much she just brought him down all the time. No matter what he did he was never enough or never good enough and she just, like you said made life more difficult than it needed to be.

So he got rid of her and although it hurt he moved on with is life and became the bigger person and eventually won his struggle..

I feel that your interpretation is spot on. For me, her is a him. My poison, my curse, and my recurring loss.

I think that this song is about his obsession over a girl surprisingly..... she has no interest in him, but he cant get over her. "until the end" he speaks about all the pain he is going through because of her, but they never end, but he will go on loving her without reward until the end of his life

I totally feel a lot of this song...esp. this part: I've lost my way but I will go on until the end Living is hard enough why give up? why give in?

I think that BB's new album has some pretty deep stuff in it that will make a lot of people think about where they are right now.

"Living is hard enough we fell too far fuck it up"

I think it's supposed to be

"Living is hard enough without you fuckin up"

anyways, this is an amazgin song and the new Album is the best stuff BB has ever come out with.

Yep that's the lyrics!

If the lyric is "without you fucking up", then why does he clearly say "fucking smup"? im serious. listen to the song. he does not say up.

or if your smart enough, you will realize he is breathing in so he can scream and sustain it.
