Prepare The Masses Lyrics

Prepare the masses, cause this means war
And if it's a fight they want
We'll bring the hell they're looking for
With bullets blazing, the cowards hit the floor
Stand up and fight like men
Let God decide who's coming

Now sit back and watch this story unfold
With the fair Juliet and her Romeo
Two young lovers with one heartbeat
In a devoted grave is where they'll sleep
They are the passion in a city of hate
Watching two families quarrel ruining lover's fate
You are the ones that took your children's lives
See your two martyrs dying in love's true light

Sing me to sleep tonight, sweet Juliet
Two star-crossed lovers marry, looking for regrets
By daybreak I'll be gone and searching for your kiss
Leave me a drop of poison waiting on your lips

In every war there will be casualties
Even family members and best friends bleed
Another tally on the body count
So how many more until we're all bled out?
Let's not forget about this tale of love
Replay the story as it's told to us
Life is precious but worth giving away
For ideals of beauty and better days

Sing me to sleep tonight, sweet Juliet
Two star-crossed lovers marry, looking for regrets
By daybreak I'll be gone and searching for your kiss
Leave me a drop of poison waiting on your lips

I'm killing cousins
Revenge I seek
In fair Verona, I will lay him down, down to sleep
In desperation, poison becomes this story's ending
In a tomb of lover's trust

Sing me to sleep tonight, sweet Juliet
Two star-crossed lovers marry, looking for regrets
By daybreak I'll be gone and searching for your kiss
Leave me a drop of poison waiting on your lips

Hey! Nice job. I think I have a few corrections though.

The chorus should read:

Sing me to sleep tonight, sweet Juliet Two STAR-CROSSED lovers married(?), looking for regrets By daybreak I'll be gone and searching for your CORPSE LEAVE me a drop of poison waiting on your lips.

The next line should be:

In ever war there will be casualties ...... ...... So how many more until we're all BLED OUT.

The bridge should be:

I'm killing cousins, revenge I seek In FAIR VERONA I will lay him down, down to sleep In desperation, poison becomes This story's ending in a TOMB OF LOVER'S (trust?)

Yay!

My teacher played this in school because we just finished Romeo and Juliet. That was pretty rad.

This song follows the whole story of Romeo and Juliet. And it follows really close too.

in the chorus in the beginning of the play they even use "star-crosses lovers"

"Leave me a drop of poison waiting on your lips" in the play Juliet got mad cause Romeo didn't leave any poison on his lips for her to die too so she stabs herself with his sword.

"By daybreak I'll be gone and searching for your kiss" in the play Romeo had to leave in the morning cause he was exclied from Verona for killing Tybalt. thats where the line "I'm killing cousins, revenge I seek" is telling you about it. Romeo kills Tybalt (Juliet's cousin) cause Tybalt killed Mercurtio (someone really close to Romeo who is also the princes family)

So this song is really just about the Romeo and Juliet. who ever wrote this song must know something about Romeo and Juliet to write something this close to the story. lol.

or maybe the writerwasnt a complete idiot and i dunno...maybe knew something about romeo and juliet and was trying to get a point across to his girlfriend.. but that just a wild outta the blue guess. i mean. how would i know right?

Yeah and to add even more, the line "even family members and best friends bleed" goes right along because 1. Mercutio, who is both a family member to the prince and Romeo's good friend, dies and 2. Romeo's mother kills herself because he's exiled. And of course Romeo and Juliet die. And then "this story's ending in a tomb of lovers" because not only do Romeo and Juliet die in the tomb, but so does Paris. And the "watching two families quarrel ruining lovers fate" because of course, if their parents hadn't been fighting, they wouldn't have had to hide...
