I have witnessed your death
I've see it many times
Your tortured screams
Your decrypted little mind
A father's son
With pathetic eyes that bleed
Twins in the end
Begin and let the brothers fall

I will see you burned alive
Screaming for your God
I will watch you die again for him

God won't touch what I've done
He cries upon my feet
A privilege pain
Beneath buried are your dead
On splintered bones I walk
Sifting through the blood
Besieged in fear
Await the coming of the God

I will watch you die again for him

Blood is raining downward
The stain reflects the sun
Conquer divide within
Terrorize the mind
I have seen the end it's yours
Rosary in hand
Your selfish flesh it melts
Spilling from the sky

I will see you burn alive
Screaming for your God
I will watch you die

This is God's War
God's War
This is God's War
God's War

War of holy principles
I'm seeking God's help in your destruction
Slit the throat of heaven man
And let his blood dilute the water
Bury your dead

Fuck your God erase his name
A lady weeps insanewith sorrow
I'll take his tower from the world
You're fuckin' raped upon your deathbed

This is God's War
God's War
This is God's War
God's War
Fucking Holy War

Be optimistic, happy and calm
Show no fear or anxiety
Smile at the face of God
And your reward will be eternity
Holy warriors
Your patience will be justified
Everything is for him
You must not comfort the animal before you kill it
Strike as champions at the heart of the nonbelievers
Strike above the neck and at all extremities
For it's a point of no return for almighty God
God will give victory to his faithful servant
When you reach ground zero you will have killed the enemy
The great Satan

I love this song. Only Slayer would have the balls to write a song like this, but that's what I've always loved about these guys. They've stayed true to themselves and to their roots, and in my mind are the all-time undisputed heavyweight champions of thrash metal.

"okay, they've come out and said what its about already guys... Its about 9/11 From the Terrorist Point of View... a lot of people are pissed about that, but you gotta love Slayer for giving them a big "Fuck You"..."

Ofcourse it is satire, to show how idiots are running around blowing/burning up themselves and others for their god, and there are plenty of ppl on all sides of the war that are doing it in the name of their god. Its like, Good job you just murdered a bunch of people for your god, im sure he is happy with your deeds and he will treat you good in heaven...wtf-ever.

Great song. After reading these lyrics for the first time, it seems pretty obvious to me(though i could be wrong)

"This is God's war!" "God won't judge what I've done" "I will watch you die again for Him"

It seems this song is about war. Since just about every war is about religon, people are dying for their Gods.

"God will give bahishti to his faithful servants"

I just looked up the meaning of the word "bahisti" and it comes from the Persain word "Bahaist" which means:

"Of or relating to a religion founded in 1863 in Persia and emphasizing the spiritual unity of all humankind."

So maybe, even more specifically, this is about the Persain Wars

I also looked up Jihad. It's an Arabic word for "holy war"

Actually, sorry, this song must be about "The Gulf War"(also called the Persian Gulf War) because jihad is an arabic word and bahisti is a persain word and they both were fighting in the war

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Bron-Y-Aur Stomp
Led Zeppelin
This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Head > Heels
Ed Sheeran
“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
