Too many words
Too many lies
I cant quite see the truth
When I look into your eyes

[Bridge]
I feel I'm cured
And I know I should
Step away turn around
Let my feet hit the ground
Running, running, running, running

[Chorus]
You don't need a broken heart
To know one can be broken
You just need to open your eyes, yeah
We don't need to be deceived
To know a lie can be spoken
We don't have to learn everything twice

I don't know
I really don't know
If this castle in the sand
Is strong enough to stand

[Bridge]

[Chorus]

Cause I know
How it feels
All the pain
Is so real
Cause you sink
And you drown
Till your feet hit the ground
Running, running, running, running

[Chorus]

Like breaknrox12, I heard it a little while ago on an ad for the Australia - England rugby match. It's a nice song as with Evermore's 2 big songs. It's got an even flow to it. I like the little electric guitar solo bit. :/

i can relate to this song totally. to me this song is talking about a past relationship that the character knows that he was in a bad relationship and he had to turn and walk away. he knows that she is lying and deceiving him. he doesnt have to stick around for her to deceive him twice.. i think he still feels something for her but do you walk away from someone you love or do stick around for it only to get worse... thats my interpretation anyway..

To me this song is about someone who has gone through some kind of pain and is likening it to having been hurt by the ending of a relationship. The whole 'you don't need a broken heart' thing sort of implies that the guy might NOT have experienced these problems himself.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"
