You're Too Young Lyrics

It’s after 2 and I am all alone
She appeared, said she’ll get me home
We end up lost inside an urban maze
And then she says her house is on the way

I should leave
It’s time to go back home now
I should leave
You’re too young for me

She has a man, says he’s just a boy
She won’t bite unless it brings you joy
I don’t know where all the time has gone
I don’t know where all the years have gone

I should leave
Put your clothes back on now
I should leave
You’re too young for me

I should leave
It’s time to go back home now
I should leave
You’re too young for me
You’re too young for me
You’re too young for me

This one's real self-explanatory. He's had a tryst with a much younger woman and is coming to the realization that he did something wrong by doing so. The girl comes to him unsatisfied with the younger guy she's with and is probably attracted by his being older and more experienced, more knowledgeable, etc. -- all the usual reasons why younger people hook up with people just a little too old for them. Now he's regretting what seems like an impulsive decision. This seems like it is more of a cathartic song for him, and that experience can probably be shared by anyone that's been with someone they shouldn't have been with.

I think this song is about being a man and how the 20's can pass so fast that you didn't even get a chance to update your taste in women.

"I don't know where all the time has gone"

"Inside a suburban maze And then she says her house is on the way" This suggests that the girl he's interested in is still living at home, which means she's probably in her late teens.

"She has a man, says he's just a boy" Basically she have a on-off boyfriend, who is about her age and considered young.

"I should leave It's time to go back home now I should leave You're too young for me"

"I should leave Put your clothes back on now I should leave You're too young for me" The progression here makes it obvious that he's being tempted by her, while his conscience is telling him to back off. I think there's two endings to the story, the guy who didn't listen to his conscience and did get involved with a younger woman, and the guy who did listen to his conscience. Both of them have regrets but for different reasons.

A fun.yet wrong interpatation could be that he is the grim reaper and "your too young for me" meaning the girl is too young to die. the grim reaper ends up falling in love with her and spends time with her. hence the lines: I dont know where all the time has gone I dont know where all the years have gone. Like i said, a fun , yet certainly wrong interpratation.
