Welcome to the Monkey House Lyrics
Wire's coming back again,
Elastica, got sued by them
When Michael Jackson dies,
We're covering Blackbird
But won't it be absurd then
When no one knows what song they just heard
Unless someone on the radio
tells them first
So come on, come on, come on, come
Come on, come on, come on, come on
Come on, come on, come on
You monkeys.
Elastica, got sued by them
When Michael Jackson dies,
We're covering Blackbird
But won't it be absurd then
When no one knows what song they just heard
Unless someone on the radio
tells them first
So come on, come on, come on, come
Come on, come on, come on, come on
Come on, come on, come on
You monkeys.

when michael jackson dies they'll be singing: "all your life you were only waiting for this moment to arrive" hah
This is a radical song. I believe that it is about all songs starting to sound the same. The Dandys released Welcome to the Monkey House because alot of other bands were starting to sound like there old Bohemian guitar sorta sound. Now Elastica got sued by Wire for sounding like them. When Michael Jackson dies bands will have the right to cover Beatles songs and everyone will start sounding the same again. And when all songs sound the same you wont be able to determine which song is which unless someone on the radio tells you first. Fantastisch song!
