I never wanted you to end up like this, but in my opinion you gave up to quick.
You were only looking at what you could earn, should i apologize? No i'll let you burn.
You'll stop at nothing to claim what's yours. Take it, you own it, I don't need you anymore.
What once was ours you have just destroyed.
You'll scrape away the insides
In the end, I'm left here with nothing to show for my troubles.
Your unblinking eyes tell me the end is near
I begin to understand, there was nothing.
Don't pretend you ever really cared. I've chosen to let you be.
Isn't that what you wanted? is that what you need? i'm armed with intesne intentions,
I'll sleep my ambitions away, to make you aware that this was something that you need. something you wanted.
I've chosen to let you be isn't that what you watned? is that what you need?
I'm sad to say you were wrong.

meaning is pretty simple...some girl got rid of him, before he had a chance to do anything about it. And he's starting to realize that she really was nothing. And instead of going after the girl, he just leaves her alone..

im in this situation now...got dumped..went after girl, then realize nothings left.. so backing off and moving on is the only option

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
