The W.T.O. Kills Farmers Lyrics
I did my best to make it in the world
I've plowed my sweat and tears into the fertile ground
Generation, generation generated what was needed
For supply to meet demand
The sun shone bright on the ancient range
Till the promise of the future turned to "neo-liberal plains"
A peoples' voice shut up, shut down, abstain
Is it gonna take a martyr to end this charade?
They tell you that you're out of luck
While people fall they watch their profits rocket up
SOS, this is a global call
You better make a stand, you better make it now
Take back your rights from the IMF, World Bank and Monsanto
SOS, this is a global call
You better make a stand, you better make it now
Corporatocracy leads to profits for killers
Profits for killers
Generva, Washington, Cancun, Seoul
The Corporate welfare state run out of control
The Corporocrats have got the guns but their numbers are few
They can kill democracy
But they could not kill the truth
So step out of the matrix of the corporate slave
Step into the world of the living wage
Not for one, not for two, not for three or four
But for every single citizen around the fucking world
The people in the fight of our lives
The spark of revolution in a farmers' suicide
SOS, this is a global call
You better make a stand, you better make it now
Take back your rights from the IMF, World Bank and Monsanto
SOS, this is a global call
You better make a stand, you better make it now
Corporatocracy leads to profits for killers
Profits for killers
When they wage war on you, you lay asleep
When they poison your food you choose to drink
There's poison in the well
Stand up!
Resist!
Monsanto are killers!
Stand up!
Resist!
Syngenta are killers!
Stand up!
Resist!
The World Bank are killers!
Stand up!
Resist!
The W.T.O. are killers!

wow lee kyung-hae is quite an amazing story.
Heres my take on it form what i know and from looking at wikipedia:
i also found out "Is it gonna take a martyr to end this charade?" is refering to lee kyung hae as he was seen as a martyr.
anyway great song with an even greater message.
This is such a sad story. Look into it if you're interested. It was inspired by the story of Lee Kyung-Hae.
To understand about what the WTO does to farmers and to learn about a modern revolutionary read the book called "ya basta" it is writtin by Commandante Insurgente Marcos and it has a foreward by Noam Chomsky.
Commandante Marcos is the leader of the Zapatistas in Mexico and AF's song Zapatista, Don't give up is about him and the people he is helping.
