Eu encontrei quando não quis
Mais procurar o meu amor
E quanto levou foi pra eu merecer
Antes um mês e eu já não sei

E até quem me vê lendo o jornal
Na fila do pão, sabe que eu te encontrei
E ninguém dirá que é tarde demais
Que é tão diferente assim
Do nosso amor a gente é que sabe, pequena

Ah, vai
Me diz o que é o sufoco
Que eu te mostro alguém
A fim de te acompanhar
E se o caso for de ir à praia
Eu levo essa casa numa sacola

Eu encontrei e quis duvidar
Tanto clichê, deve não ser
Você me falou pra eu não me preocupar
Ter fé e ver coragem no amor

E só de te ver, eu penso em trocar
A minha TV, num jeito de te levar
A qualquer lugar que você queira
E ir aonde o vento for
Que pra nós dois
Sair de casa já é se aventurar

Ah, ah vai
Me diz o que é o sossego
Que eu te mostro alguém
A fim de te acompanhar
E se o tempo for te levar
Eu sigo essa hora e pego carona
Pra te acompanhar

beautiful song. what I could understand of it (give me a break because portuguese is a tough language) is that it´s about a person who finally found love at a much later age. So it´s about a cute old couple, which is sweet. It starts out mentioning going about the day and having people notice that something is different (he´s in love), it mentions time a lot, so that´s a clue (ninguém dirá que é tarde demais, que é tao diferente assim - no one can say that it´s too late, that is quite so unusual). Also, it mentions having doubts over these feelings that were unknown up until now (eu encontrei e quis duvidar tanto cliche deve nao ser - I found it and wanted to doubt it, so much cliche, it´s probably not it). And the main tip I get that it´s talking about an elderly couple is the ending, which talks about death (e se o tempo for te levar eu sigo essa hora pego carona pra te acompanhar - and if time claims you i´ll follow the timing, I´ll catch this ride to keep you company). Anyway, that´s my take on it, I think it´s a sweet song.

I guess you're right, anitta. that was a beautiful interpretation. I don't know for sure if they're an old couple or just, say, in the late 30s ou 40s. but I think you really captured the feeling, and that's a lot.

Yes, probably the meaning is like you`ve said but I wonder if only one of them is old and had to wait a long time for his/her real love to be born and grow so they could finally meet... Doubts can be more precious than certainties... Lol

You're right, but when he says "ninguém dirá que é tarde demais, que é tao diferente assim - no one can say that it´s too late, that is quite so unusual" he's talking about age difference, 'cause he's so much older than her (i know their history).

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
