For me this song is about trying to go back to living after you lose faith in humanity - because of a failed relationship that is making you hurt, because life can be unfair at times, or because sometimes we feel we can't go on. About trying to believe again. In something. That will make us feel like living again and moving on from the hurt.

I have no idea what this song means either but it is really good. My guess is that it is something to do with religious belief or faith.. My other idea is that he is with a girl that doesn't believe their relationship is going to work but he tells her to believe it will. I don't know haha. The song also features Kele Okereke from Bloc Party, an amazing vocalist!!! He is un believable live also

I have thoughts about this... these days came this song in my mind and just reflects my paranoid feelings; see, I think I'm not religious not even a bit. All this doubt in every little thing makes me feel like everything is conspiracy. The whole religion thing = conspiracy. But still, as an atheist, I need an explanation or some kind of backup to calm my mind of the things and the questions I don't have the answers. For every thing that a believer can say it was a Gods will, I also need an explanation. So, when I fail to find an explanation for some task, this kind of feeling like this robot chasing the man gets me. So I guess I need a principle that could put my mind at ease and avoid paranoia.
