Let Forever Be Lyrics

How does it feel like, to wake up in the sun.
How does it feel like, to shine on everyone.
How does it feel like, to let forever be.
How does it feel like, to spend a little lifetime sitting in the gutter.
Scream out sympathy.

How does it feel like, to sail on the breeze.
How does it feel like, to spend a little lifetime sitting in the gutter.
Scream out sympathy.

How does it feel like, to make it happening.
How does it feel like, to breathe with everything.
How does it feel like, to let forever be.
How does it feel like, to spend a little lifetime sitting in the gutter.
Scream out sympathy.

How does it feel like, to be a Cristophe
How does it feel like, to spend a little lifetime sitting in the gutter.
Scream out sympathy.

I LOVE this song, its video, everything about it. Its lyrics are really simple; it's probably the best Chemical Brothers song out there...

A song meaning site and all you all can talk about is how trippy the video is... so sad...

This is actually a very beautiful song when you realize the symbolism of it... Jom tanks is right, it is meant to be crystal fiend, but I feel his meaning is way off. The crystal part refers to crystal meth...

If you notice, every line has beautiful imagery, followed by negative imagery. EXCEPT THE LAST LINE, also the only one that doesn't follow the same verse length... here you have negative imagery with negative energy.

I was watching the movie the salton sea and heard this song in it, then listened to the song lyrics... that's when the true meaning clicked. This song is part of the reason I personally packed up all my stuff and checked into rehab to kick my own meth addiction.

I'm pretty sure the correct lyrcs are "scream a symphony", and "to be a crystalline". Yes the grammar sounds weird, but I think it's part of the overall psychedelic wording such as "How does it feel like" and "to make it happening".

Overall, this seems like the majority of all Chemical Brothers songs, to be about the psychedelic experience and mind altering hallucinogenics. As many have pointed out, it bears some resemblance to the Beatles psychedelic classic "Tomorrow Never Knows", a song that the Chemicals often used to play during DJ sets.

I sincerely doubt it's about meth, and not just because I don't think the line is "crystal fiend" (and definitely not Cristophe, whatever that's supposed to refer to.) It's just not keeping in character for the Chemicals to be that sardonic and cynical with a single lyric during what's otherwise a beautiful kaleidoscopic soundscape. And as the British poster above noted, Noel Gallagher probably wouldn't add that kind of lyric himself.

Psychedeilc Video - Noel Gallagher is still King! I think Noel and the Bros. were trying to imitate Beatle's Tommorow Never Knows

Amen. That drum beat says it all

about the extremes you may encounter in your life.

on the one path: you wake up in the gutter. how did you get there? your little life is fucked.

on the other path: you wake up with the sun. in this glory you make it, you shine on, you breathe. live forever, be.

r3j3ct is bang on. Although I've loved this song for a long time, it was only recently that I watched The Salton Sea and saw the song in a very different context. Crystal fiend is a methhead, although the emotions in this song are very fitting for many addictions. Heroin's mine; and this is one of my favourite songs. It's amazing how well they captured this little chunk of emotion that surrounds an addict's life.

Im not sure its about crystal meth you know, more likely just drugs in general ie mdma or cocaine, these being the drugs of choice round here, crystal meth is more an American problem, I would have thought, as we hardly ever hear of it in the UK and Noel Gallagher and the Chemical Brothers were probably not stupid enough to try it.

'Getting up and having a line of coke is like getting up and having a cup of tea in the morning' Noel Gallagher.

@ameristarfree ” the UK and Noel Gallagher and the Chemical Brothers were probably not stupid enough to try it.” When Oasis was on tour in the US they skimped on the bus and I've read that they used meth.
