Teachers Lyrics

Lock it down
Overthrow all the pirates
And get out of town
Can you see them smiling?
Blisters, these bones are breaking
Whispers are louder than screaming
We suffer this moment
Until the day is coming
That we'll reign forever

Training day
Cause I-Man is coming and we are the teachers
Training day
Been through the fire cause we the pioneers
Training day
Soul of the Lion, Jah love for the bleeding
Training day
Warriors, SoulJahs we still believe you!

Crawling through poison ivy
My soul still flies with broken wings
And the sun is blinding. I can't stop staring
I don't want to close my eyes
Righteous respects, it's the best-kept secret
I can let go of my burdens that keep me
From living so I can start dying

Training day
Cause I-Man is coming and we are the teachers
Training day
Been through the fire cause we the pioneers
Training day
Soul of the Lion, Jah love for the bleeding
Training day

The guitar and bass to this song sound a lot like Sleeping Awake during the verses and parts of the chorus. Unfortunately this song is inferior to that one so I'm not even going to bother addressing what the lyrics may mean.

This song is great! And the best part is that someone from England came over to the US with make-a-wish foundation to hang out with P.O.D. for a day, and he plays a chord a sings/screams the "we still believe you" part of the chorus. In the words of Sonny "he's gonna be a part of P.O.D. forever". How awesome is that!!!! The meaning of the song is in the chorus, written to the average christian who is a warrior and soldier fighting the battle of going though life serving God. It is encouraging those people that the end day is coming, and that P.O.D. have been through the fire and can now Testify about it, and teach to others. That is what the whole album is about

My favourite lyrics on the whole cd. Maybe even all of P.O.D. "My soul still flies on broken wings". How beautiful is that?!

Since benson86 hit the nail on da head w/ the lyrics, let me just say that this song is EPIC!! Those guitar riffs just keep building until the end, you know?

cool song even though im not christian. i man is I and I from the rastafari religion. yea god

I think I-man may be Jesus, not God. In Latin, there is no J, so where a j would be, there is an i followed by the vowel, so in Latin, Jesus would be spelled more like Iesus. Jesus also fits into the lyrics better. I-man is coming, Jesus' second coming and we [Christians] are the teachers for anyone who do not believe in Him
