If You Could See Me Now Lyrics
My soul is alive and so are you
I'm still trying to pass the time
It ain't easy without you
As long as I try
I'll make it through
But it might take a while
Believe me, if you only knew
If you, if you could see me now
If you, if you could see me now
If only you, if you could see me now
And is this what you want
For me to feel?
Or am I going out of my mind?
What is real?
Stay by my side so I can live
And I will be alright
Don't leave me
If you, if you could see me now
If you, if you could see me now
If only you, if you could see me now
(Then you'll understand who I really am)
If only you, if you could see me now
(You never question me, if you could only see)
Is this what you want
For me to feel?
Is this what you want?
Is this what you want?
Is this what you need?
Is this what you want?
Is this what you need?
If you, if you could see me now
If you, if you could see me now
If only you, if you could see me now
(Then you'll understand who I really am)
If only you, if you could see me now
(You never question me, if you could only see)

First let me make some corrections to the lyrics since you missed a few small words here and there(I'm going to put around the changes):
My soul is alive and so are you I'm still trying to pass the time It ain't easy without you As long as I CAN try I'll make it through But it might take a while Believe me, if you only knew
If you, if you could see me now If you, if you could see me now If only you, if you could see me now
And is this what you want For me to feel? Or am I going out of my mind? What is real? Stay by my side so I can live And I will be alright Don't leave me
If you, if you could see me now If you, if you could see me now If only you, if you could see me now (Then YOU'D understand who I really am) If only you, if you could see me now (YOU'D never question me, if you could only see)
AND is this what you want For me to feel? AND is this what you want? Is this what you want? Is this what you need? Is this what you want? Is this what you need?
If you, if you could see me now (IF I COULD SEE YOU!!!!) If you, if you could see me now (IF I COULD SEE YOU!!!!) If only you, if you could see me now (Then you'll understand who I really am) (IF I COULD SEE YOU!!!!) If only you, if you could see me now (You never question me, if you could only see) (IF I COULD SEE YOU!!!!)
This song is clearly about Sonny's deceased mother. (Of course it's meant for anyone who has ever lost someone close to them.) I think overall the song is alright. Problem is it sounds a lot like all of their old material. The lyrics are pretty good though...they're like a sequel to their Satelite song.
MrJRK:
I got the lyrics straight from the booklet that came with the limited edition, and I copied them word for word.
Also, it was written solely by Jason Truby, about his adopted son.
KOOL LIKE KOOL-AID! JASON WROTE THIS 'N? SWEET
On the bonus disc where they talk about all the songs they said that Jason wrote the piano piece for his adopted son. They someone else (Maybe Sonny?) wrote the lyrics, without knowing the reason behind the piano piece.. then Jason was just like.. hell yeah this is what I wanted it to be like.. because I'm sure if my sons "real" mother could see him now she'd know she made the right choice.
Really nice story for this one and the music does well to convey the message. It's good to show love for others and Jason seems like a good guy as well as the rest of P.O.D.
