My soul is alive and so are you
I'm still trying to pass the time
It ain't easy without you
As long as I try
I'll make it through
But it might take a while
Believe me, if you only knew

If you, if you could see me now
If you, if you could see me now
If only you, if you could see me now

And is this what you want
For me to feel?
Or am I going out of my mind?
What is real?
Stay by my side so I can live
And I will be alright
Don't leave me

If you, if you could see me now
If you, if you could see me now
If only you, if you could see me now
(Then you'll understand who I really am)
If only you, if you could see me now
(You never question me, if you could only see)

Is this what you want
For me to feel?
Is this what you want?
Is this what you want?
Is this what you need?
Is this what you want?
Is this what you need?

If you, if you could see me now
If you, if you could see me now
If only you, if you could see me now
(Then you'll understand who I really am)
If only you, if you could see me now
(You never question me, if you could only see)

First let me make some corrections to the lyrics since you missed a few small words here and there(I'm going to put around the changes):

My soul is alive and so are you I'm still trying to pass the time It ain't easy without you As long as I CAN try I'll make it through But it might take a while Believe me, if you only knew

If you, if you could see me now If you, if you could see me now If only you, if you could see me now

And is this what you want For me to feel? Or am I going out of my mind? What is real? Stay by my side so I can live And I will be alright Don't leave me

If you, if you could see me now If you, if you could see me now If only you, if you could see me now (Then YOU'D understand who I really am) If only you, if you could see me now (YOU'D never question me, if you could only see)

AND is this what you want For me to feel? AND is this what you want? Is this what you want? Is this what you need? Is this what you want? Is this what you need?

If you, if you could see me now (IF I COULD SEE YOU!!!!) If you, if you could see me now (IF I COULD SEE YOU!!!!) If only you, if you could see me now (Then you'll understand who I really am) (IF I COULD SEE YOU!!!!) If only you, if you could see me now (You never question me, if you could only see) (IF I COULD SEE YOU!!!!)

This song is clearly about Sonny's deceased mother. (Of course it's meant for anyone who has ever lost someone close to them.) I think overall the song is alright. Problem is it sounds a lot like all of their old material. The lyrics are pretty good though...they're like a sequel to their Satelite song.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
