With you on my mind
And my heart held in your hands
Screaming
Break me, oh
Break me, oh

Oooh, oh
Oooh, oh

With you on my mind
And my heart held in your hands
Screaming
Break me
Break me

Oooh, oh
Oooh, oh
Oooh, oh
Oooh, oh

love this song sooo much...um...meaning? same thing I said for this song under Dallas Green's name! having the person you love, basically, be in charge of your fate. As in they are trying to decide whether or not they want to stay with you, and you just want them to make the decision and fast, because it's hurting you to have to wait. Does that make sense?...I feel like elaborating even though I think Is aid it clearly...I just feel like it...if you understand you can just not read this. I think it's just describing his state at one point...I guess... "with you on my mind"...kinda straightforward. so he's thinking about this person. Because he likes them. "and my heart held in your hands"...the other person doesn't yet know how they feel, or won't tell him. he has laid himself on the line...he is basically giving his heart to this person and telling them to make up their mind. "screaming break me"...waiting hurts. he wants the decision fast. done. Iove this song. a whole song that's only two lines. two beautiul lines. two beautifully sung beautiful lines...I'm done now. sorry for the long post, but a song only two lines long screams for a long post.

What i get from this is you can't hurt someone without hurting yourself. There's time- attachments. It's an understood process. I would like to read more by Casey.

this song is so damn beautiful, at the moment it makes me cry. in my state of mind at the moment it seems to be clearly about how you can care for someone so much more than they seem to care for you. my heart is in your hands and you seem unaware of how much control you have over me. break me please, end all this uncertainty and tell me what you feel.

star_up_in_the_sky is pretty much right I'd say.

But I also feel like in my own current situation with a horrible boyfriend it's saying that... someone has his heart and his relationship with a lover or someone isn't going good and the other person is thinking about breaking it off and he doesn't want that to happen and it's hurting him so much so he's just waiting for the other person to break him so he can get over it.

well thats my 2 cents. sorry if that's pree much like the others. i needed to get that off my chest =P

This song blows me away. The light use of lyrics in this song is what makes it such a departure from what we normally hear nowadays. Its intircate yet vague, elegant yet passionate. Simply amazing. Love the strings in it as well. Dallas is a true artist.

i put this song on LOUD and dance around my apartment in my undies, it makes me want to scream out loud, cry, laugh and be happy all at one time. The world could use alot more songs like it. it is absoloutely perfect in all its sparseness.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
