Oball, you nailed it. It's a pro-science, anti-religion, nihilist song.

no no no, i think you're both wrong. This is the DANDY WARHOLS (named after ARTIST Andy Warhol). This song is very tongue in cheek. They are making fun of people who "try to live on science alone." Saying they need something else (art, creativity) to make them feel more fulfilled.

Very facetious song. "religiously I'm speaking on the science" clinches it. Like it or not, even the hardest of sciences require a modicum of faith.

The fact that the Discovery Channel uses this as bumper/theme music for science programming makes me laugh. Did they not read the lyrics to the whole song? The irony his hilarious. Don't get me wrong... I love the song. I don't necessarily agree with the lyrics.

If it's catchy, it works. That's the point though. Can't argue with that, in the end...

I would like to live on science alone. Don't bother with useless crap like religion and art - science is where it's at.
