Dynamite Mine Lyrics
In Dynamite Mine your hour will come
In a shower of stones, steel beams
They'll push and they'll pull against the rock wall
And find you buried among the debris
When they search for you, the dogs will sniff him out
From a torn piece of his shirt
They'll bound down the path with lust on their breath
And find you under a patch of fresh dirt
Son, cover your ears
Lord, how the blast will ring
And when that rumbling shakes the walls
You can hear that devil sing
You cut off the past
Buried him here deep in the belly of the mines
Blasted the wall, sealed the tomb
Lived out those short days secure in your crime
Many years have passed, but still we trudge on
So we will until the end of our days
Many have come and many have gone
But there's one who never strays from this place
Son, cover your ears
Lord, how the blast will ring
And when that rumbling shakes the walls
You can hear that devil sing
Son, cover your ears
Lord, how the blast will ring
And when that rumbling shakes the walls
You can hear that devil sing
In a shower of stones, steel beams
They'll push and they'll pull against the rock wall
And find you buried among the debris
From a torn piece of his shirt
They'll bound down the path with lust on their breath
And find you under a patch of fresh dirt
Lord, how the blast will ring
And when that rumbling shakes the walls
You can hear that devil sing
Buried him here deep in the belly of the mines
Blasted the wall, sealed the tomb
Lived out those short days secure in your crime
So we will until the end of our days
Many have come and many have gone
But there's one who never strays from this place
Lord, how the blast will ring
And when that rumbling shakes the walls
You can hear that devil sing
Lord, how the blast will ring
And when that rumbling shakes the walls
You can hear that devil sing

This song is amazing, and I really cant wait for the new cd.
I concur. I saw them last Thursday and Adam said how this song is about how a guy murders someone by blowing the walls up in the mine the victim is working in and then ends up getting buried alive while trying to escape. Great irony.
i wonder if this will follow the story of Who Will Survive
This particular album (In Bocca Al Lupo) is based on Dante's Inferno.
And I quote: "This song is about someone who kills a guy in a mine, and irony comes back to fuck him in the ass, because he gets killed in a rockslide." This song is awesome.
I don't like the version on the album as much as I like the demo version that they released before. Either way, damn good song. The strings are amazing.
From the site: "dynamite mine is a story of irony. its about a man who commits a murder in a mine where we works. He takes the victim there, kills him, and then buries him in the mine. Then, in a lovely twist of irony the murderer is killed under a rockfall that buries him next to his victim. the chorus is from the perspectives of the miners many years later who continue to tell the story of the mine and how the ghost of the murderer still lives deep in the belly of the mine. it goes: "son, cover your ears lord how the blast will ring and when a rumblin' shakes the walls you can hear that devil sing". oooooh. spooky"
