i think this song is about how this guy is in love with a girl who only wants to stay friends with him because she is in a relationship. and this girl is findiing it hard to stay friends with him because i think she is sorta in love with him too. eg. I have to disagree with you guys. I think it's about a guy who broke up with his girlfriend, and they both realize their feelings, and he's saying, "Let's go to the next step!" Apparently the girlfriend's boyfriend agrees because the lead singer points out: "He's right you know, we can't go on like this." That's my opinion though.
this song is basically my life. its everything thats going on for me right now, and has been going on for me for like over a year.
heres how i took it, or how it applies to me.. its about a guy and a girl who are both with other people but know they shouldnt be. they knoww that theyre right for each other but they also know that theyve broken each others hearts before and are scared to try again. they are also mildly happy with the other people that they are with, and socially its easier for them to be with with other people, but they are having issues being able to give all of them to the other people because a part of them still wants to be with each other.
they know. i mean, they seriously know that they need to be together, and like when they hang out or are together, theyre all over each other, and they want each other so badly, and sometimes they forget about those moments..
