Its about leaving a part of your life behind you and saying you cant predict the future.

This song...how can I even begin to describe what it means to me. Its one of those songs that we all have...one of those songs that the first time you hear it, it just speaks to you, as if you've just been waiting your whole life to hear it.

What does it mean to me? It means feeling sorrow. Sorrow that occurs because as much as you loved someone, or something, you're leaving it behind. And now, without it or them - your blind, just feeling your way through the dark until you can see on your own again. You thought you had it down pat. but now you realize you don't know anything, so your going to leave it to stargazers since you figure they can figure it out better than you, for all you know.

And you can't find light anywhere, without that thing or person, everything is darkness. You left because its what was best to do, but you didn't leave without your wounds. And just before you leave them behind forever, you can't help but take one last look over your shoulder, to see what your leaving behind.

The song is definitly about leaving a part of your life and looking forward, without trying to predict what will happen for you. She doesn't know what's gonna happen (feeling my way through the dark) . At first she wants to know what the future holds (trying to find a light on somewhere) but then she realises it's just better to take things as they come and see what will happen (I'm finding I've fallen in love with the dark).

I love this song, esspecially since I just graduated from High School and I am moving onto college now. It seems that Im leaving a large part of my life behind. I also like how this kind of ties into the Album title, Eye To The Telescope. Its a great song...

She reminds me of Norah Jones, especially on this song. Love it.

Kay...whatever. This song has gotta be about anyone who's entering a new phase in their life, whether it's coming of age or another emotional/mental transition. You're trying to find a sense of balance, truth, or stability--the "light"--but the dark is part of the process and the growth. Time and possibly painful experirence -- or feeling your way through the dark, is what it takes to really make that transition and grow as a result.

and this song for me, is about a place called lily dale. it's a spiritualist community and so ooooooo psychics! but anyways...i love that place, and this song just describes what it is so well i just tell people to listen to it. in fact, i believe i am scheduled to sing this there...
