Skinnyman Lyrics

My little girl x3
Where are you?

My fucked up world x3
Destroyed you

Day after day
Day after day
I get it now
I just go on without you
Twisted inside
Six miles high
I rehearse how to
Say goodbye to you

Skinnyman
Turned into a monster
I'm a motherfucker

Wrap it up tight x2
Emotions are distorted

It's no surprise
Nothing alive
All hope has been aborted

Day after day
Day after day
I get it now
I just go on without you

Twisted inside
Six miles high
I rehearse how to
Say goodbye to you

Skinnyman
Turned into a monster
I'm a motherfucker

Inside i'm dead
All used up
God damn i miss her

As my skin turns yellow
I forget this hell
As the skies are bruised
And the rain comes down
As my face turns pale
Try to deal with these thoughts
At the end of it all x10

Skinnyman
Turned into a monster
I'm a motherfucker

Inside i'm dead
All used up
God damn i miss her

As my skin turns yellow
I forget this hell
As the skies are bruised
And the rain comes down
As my face turns pale
Try to deal with these thoughts
At the end of it all
I still miss you

Wayne has posted on the s-x message boards that this song is about himself..i think this song is about taking drugs and shit

I agree with Gummy on this one, it gotta be about someone who he misses, because something happened and as Gummy said he dies and "At the end of it all i still miss you" probably thinks about her "Try to deal with these thoughts" once and forgets he's in hell and remembers he misses her. I dont know, this is the song that got me into Static. Best song ever!

Drinking being one of the addictions. Technically "Skinnyman" references to Crystal Meth or Cocain, which make you lose your apetite. If binged on long enough, you'd be a stick after a cpl months.

Also the color of the skin would indicate prolonged meth use. Possibly loosing a girl due to the meth.

you know* tripp helped write some of the parts of this song before he went to jail for having sex with a "little girl". This song reminds me of him. The lyrics are just like his charges.

maybe Wayne wrote in tribute to his child molestering friend Tripp Eisen,

maybe he knew a kid in his shcool who was molested or something

i dunno if wayne's got a kid or not, but the song sounds like its talking about a daughter. he wanders what happened to his innocent little girl "My little girl x3 Where are you?"

Turns out she's grown up and been corrupted by the world: "My fucked up world x3 Destroyed you"

He learns to live with the change, waiting in dread for the day she dies and he has to say good bye to her. "Day after day Day after day I get it now I just go on without you Twisted inside Six miles high I rehearse how to Say goodbye to you" & he's Pissed at himself for letting it her become corrupted- a monster

"Skinnyman Turned into a monster I'm a motherfucker"

until it consumes him "Inside i'm dead All used up God damn i miss her"

and he dies. "As my skin turns yellow I forget this hell As the skies are bruised And the rain comes down As my face turns pale Try to deal with these thoughts At the end of it all x10"

makes sense to me. even if its not true to the writer's life, it could be what the songs about

Hmm, I think it's about a missed ex, but his own fault for it ending. Even if they were right for eachother, his addictions and/or anger tore them apart. Only so much a person can take, and his fucked up world destroyed her because he used to be sober, responsible and collective. Now that he's a 'monster' she doesn't recognize him anymore. He realizes at the end of the day, just before he passes out, that the 7 A.M to 10 P.M Drinking session isn't as good as she was.

To me this song comes across more as reminiscing or regretting the actions of a drug substance abuser and missing out on the childhood of their daughter. The drugs have masked their reality and in effect the innocence of his daughter (perhaps she had to deal with seeing her dad in such a state ... or she got used to that being the norm, something the dad deeply regrets).
