Hurtful words,
From my enemies of the last five years,
What's it like to die alone?

How does it feel when tears freeze,
When you cry?
The blood in your veins is twenty below.

Sitting in this room playing Russian roulette,
Finger on the trigger to my dear Juliet,
Out from the window see her back drop silhouette,
This blood on my hands is something I cannot forget,

Sitting in this room playing Russian roulette,
Finger on the trigger to my dear Juliet,
Out from the window see her back drop silhouette,
This blood on my hands is something I cannot forget,

Something I cannot forget.

So for now, take this down a notch,
Crash my car through your window,
Make sure you're still alive,
Just in time to kill you,

Sitting in this room playing Russian roulette,
Finger on the trigger to my dear Juliet,
Out from the window see her back drop silhouette,
This blood on my hands is something I cannot forget,

Sitting in this room playing Russian roulette,
Finger on the trigger to my dear Juliet,
Out from the window see her back drop silhouette,
This blood on my hands is something I cannot forget,

Something I cannot forget.

I can't take this (take) anymore
I can't take this (take) anymore
I can't take this (take) anymore
(I cannot feel what you've done to me)
I can't take this (take) anymore
(What you've done to me)

So for now, take this down a notch,
Crash my car through your window,
(Window)

Sitting in this room playing Russian roulette,
Finger on the trigger to my dear Juliet,
Out from the window see her back drop silhouette,
This blood on my hands is something I cannot forget,

Sitting in this room playing Russian roulette,
Finger on the trigger to my dear Juliet,
Out from the window see her back drop silhouette,
This blood on my hands is something I cannot forget,

Something I cannot forget.

Here is my go at the song. I know that some parts have already been discussed, but it makes it easiest to start from scratch. First, I think that Juliet is, indeed, referencing Romeo and Juliet. I think that the writer is comparing the idealized love that Shakespeare wrote about to his love, that was once like Romeo and Juliet's, but has become twisted.

Hurtful words, from my enemies of the last five years. -I think this part is talking about how he and his ex lover (for whatever reason) have been lashing out at each other for five years. What's it like to die alone? -I think that this is foreshadowing to what he is planing How does it feel when tears freeze, when you cry? The blood in your veins is twenty below. -He is upset by how much pain she has caused him. This could also be another reference to Romeo and Juliet, since the potion had caused Juliet to feel cold to the touch. Juliet had taken the potion out of love. He could be twisting it again showing his anger at how their love turned out. Sitting in this room playing Russian Roulette. -Russian Roulette is a (deadly) turn based game that gets more dangerous the longer it goes (and the lower the odds get). He and his ex have been lashing out at each other and have been getting increasingly more vicious. Finger on the trigger to my dear Juliet. -He is now taking his turn in their 'game'. Out from the window see her backdrop silhouette. -This is actually the reality in the song (the rest being poetic). He is outside watching for her. This blood on my hands is something I cannot forget. (x2) Something I cannot forget. -This is actually a bit out of place, giving the impression that the writer is reliving what he has done in his head and has gone a bit crazy, since he isn't thinking linearly. It seems to belong after the next verse. So for now, take this down a notch. Crash my car through your window. -This is a continuation of the reality in the song, he takes the attacks on each other to this level. He is tired of the pain she is causing, because they can't move on, and is trying to end it, by driving through the front of her house... Make sure you're still alive, just in time to kill you. -...and killing her. Hence the blood on his hands from before. I can't take this, take any more. I cannot feel what you've done to me. -This is showing the emotions that have caused the character to kill his ex. Since it is from outside of the story. The war that he was having with his ex caused him to become emotionally unstable enough to kill her. The jumping from the narrative to his emotional reactions reflects his instability.

I think it's interesting how the writer plays on the idea of Romeo and Juliet's idealized love. They are willing to risk everything for each other just to be together. And ,when they can't, they commit suicide so that they can be together in death. The 'lovers' in the song had to have been very in love in order to have that much hate after, since it seems to me to be proportional. Enough love to kill themselves would equate to enough hate to kill each other.
