Walls are painted as a brightness surrounding the tired and desperate eyes of that figure standing on the edge.
Can it pull its weight when it takes that step and spreads its lovely arms to free-fall without fear?
Shots in my direction dance with my life,
danger in consequence makes me alive.
Won’t you take back the blood on the dirt,
and place the breathing back in its source.
The ambience of this moment makes our tears run so cold.
Why must you be the one to take the pain- my best friend,
look at you now.
They gave you a carved name reflecting back to their wet eyes.
So just let go of regret.
Your wings are linked to fly,
but they may never take flight when you hold onto your regret.
So just let go.
In this pathetic struggle,
this is what I say:
We give our greatest efforts to strengthen our only surviving chances.

This could be about the band name and how they got it. if any of you don't know, before the band formed the singer had a girlfriend named August that he wanted to break up with, but instead of just being sad she went to his house and Burned his dog named Redd alive. the headline in the paper was "August Burns Redd." the singer couldn't get that name out of his mind so they used it, they just took out the extra D. it's just a really sick story.

The part where he starts talking, there is a long pause and he starts to say something else, something about starting over....can you hear what he is saying?

That's awesome about the band name. I think the song is about his best friend that fell to his death (perhaps suicide). The narrator is saying that he couldn't fly when he was falling but could then fly when he became an angel. It's extremely sad. I almost cried.

Well the part that he's saying soemthing that you don't know is actaully part of a narration from the movie platoon. the first part of it is "Maybe I finally found it, way down here in the mud. Maybe from down here I can start up again, be something I can be proud of, without having to fake it, be a fake human being." couldn't find the rest after that

"Maybe I finally found it, way down here in the mud. Maybe from down here I can start up again, be something I can be proud of, without having to fake it, be a fake human being. Maybe I can see something I don't yet see, learn something I don't yet know. I miss you... I miss you right now..."

Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
