I put away the groceries
And I take my daily bread
I dream of your arms around me
As I tuck the kids in bed

I don't know what you're doing
And I don't know where you are
But I look up at that great big sky
And I hope you're wishing on that same bright star

I wonder, I pray
I sleep alone
I cry alone
And it's so hard living here ON MY OWN
So please come home soon
Come home soon

I know that we're together
Even though we're far apart
And I'll wear our lucky penny
Round my neck pressed to my heart

I wonder, I pray
I sleep alone
I cry alone
And it's so hard living here ON MY OWN
So please come home soon
Come home soon

I still imagine your touch
It's beautiful missing something that much
But sometimes love needs a fighting chance
So I'll wait my turn until it's our turn to dance

I wonder, I pray
I sleep alone
I cry alone
Without you this house is not a home
So please come home (soon)

I walk alone
I try alone
I'll wait for you
Don't want to die alone

So please come home soon
Come home soon
Please come home soon

Having a husband in the military that is deployeed right now is hard for me and the two boys we share. All the songs like Letters from home and American soldier all come from the soldiers point of view. Come home soon speaks from the hearts of and for those who are left behind......for now

My hubby is in the military also, and this song makes me cry everytime without fail. It just really touches my heart. It's like I could have written the words myself, because they're how I feel.

The girls are talking about having a husband or family member in the service. And all the times spent away from them makes you wonder, and you pray for their safe return. It is talking about loving that person so much and not wanting to loose them to the war. ANd about being alone without their presence to be at your side. And hope everyday you must cope and wait till they return safely to your side. Basically the words of the song say it all "COME HOME SOON!

with my dad, step dad, and boyfriend all being marines, i have grown up all around the military life. it is quite hard and sometimes very uupsetting. my step dad is currently deployed in iraq, and my boyfriend leaves in february. I am very close with my dad, and as well my boyfriend, it is very hard for me. When i heard this song, i started crying, with the military life i live in its obvious that this song is from the people 'left behind' point of view. its a beautiful song. and it gives me goosebumps everytime i hear it.. its lovely.

with my boyfriend in the marines it's hard to listen to this song without crying, and wondering when he'll be back with me. it's a beautiful song about the heartache the people at home feel for their guys and girls in the armed forces. i'm so proud of him, but missing and worrying about him is with me every moment of everyday, and it's not easy. this song is for all the beloved of the armed forces...

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
