It is about the hurt we keep inside, the pain no one sees. This pain haunts us like ghost and this ghost has come from our past failures. oh shit that the title of the song. who would have thought that. but this is a great song
its trying to hide something in the past that is inevitable to hide. it continues to haunt us.

I think the meaning is fairly self-explanatory. Such failures are always unseen, otherwise, we wouldn't have made them. Our failures haunt (bleed) us for as long as we let them, we might not even realize it.
