I'll never leave you
but Fate has come to silence me
darkness is all that I see
I cannot reach you
And soon the earth will cover me
its become so hard to breathe

Forever...is waiting
The final steps your taking
Will soon be buried in the sand

And all of the battles
They say we won
They leave another thousand lives undone
Another thousand lives

Forever...is waiting
The final steps your taking
Will soon be buried in the sand

Your gone but not forgot
Another Hero lost
The sorrow builds with every passing
All the lessons that you taught
When all would light you brought
It is all in the eyes of your son

(Solo)

Forever...is waiting
The final steps your taking
Will soon be buried in the sand

Your gone but not forgot
Another Hero lost
The sorrow builds with every passing
All the lessons that you taught
When all would light you brought
It is all in the eyes of your son

yeah it could be about a soldier, but what i was thinking of, when i was listining to it, was the passing of a father. i could be wrong but thats just what i was thinking about.

taytayy is right, its about soldiers who are dying overseas-"You're gone but not forgot Another Hero lost The sorrow builds with every passing All the lessons that you taught When all would light you bright It is all in the eyes of your son" Great song, too. 1

it's good to see a song about the war that mostly avoids the politics of the situation, and instead focuses on the struggles of the families involved. amazing, i love this song.

Love this song, so powerful. I only made an account here to write to this song, and make a quick correction. In the chorus its: 'And all the light you brought Lives on in the eyes of your son.' Oh, and the song is about Brian Fair’s cousin who died in the war.

Speechless... I am captivated by this song, this lyrics are so strong and symbolic. The melodies are beatiful and inspiring. I just started listening to there music, so I dont know much about their history or their backgrounds, so its hard for me to decifer what the song is trying to say. Im taking a calculated guess that its about soliders, dieing across seas. Showing strength in fathers and bringing life to other people. Theirs a lot of messages in this song so its really hard to just pick up one thing.

Id say soldiers, but thats boring. Try applying the story of Christ to it. Sorta matches up. mm...I give it a .5% chance that it was intentional sry bout punctuation, PSP typins a bitch
