Shut up and let me apoogize. I can't wait to look in your sympathetic eyes and wonder away. Will we ever make it out of here alive? I've been down here, just waiting for the roof to fall. I've been down here, waiting for my chance to..And I can't help the way that I feel, when you come through to me. Was it just a dream that I had made up? Can I see the spark in your eyes, that tells me I'm different than the other guys. I've down here, just waiting for the roof to fall. I've been down here, waiting for my chance to. If we fail, because of you. We might just change our point of view. But if we fail because of me. I know we might never get a chance to see that we were part of something wonderful that I let go. I've been down here, just waiting for the roof to fall. I've been down here, just waiting for my chance to... fall... down.

To me the song (ironically) is about what would happen if the band started to fall apart. The bridge explains this perfectly, "If we fail because of me, we might never get the chance to see, that we were part of something wonderful that I let go" Like the person says, if we can't do better it's my fault, like the person wants to take charge and get things right. Then Surface comes in, and it's all like "NO< WE DONT NEED A LEADER!" ....classic.

Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.
