this song is describing, what I believe to be, bad relationship type of love. while Love IS "a wild animal" it's is all instinct in who and what you love. Love is also very complicated, and love makes, and breaks many people.

at the end where Till says "bitte bitte, gib mir gift" he is referring to love as "gift" which is poison. the poison he craves is love.

I think this is hands down the best Rammstein song and maybe the best song in the world :) And when i hear it i litterally get shivers down my spine corny but true.

A song about the bad sides of love. About broken hearts and stuff like that. The refrain says, that everyone tries to controll love but thats impossible.

The song ends with "Bitte bitte gib mir gift" which I think means "please please give me poison." I think this is about someone who kills himself because of heartbreak.

I think this song is about a relationship that was failing, and also was full of violence, was as hell to pass through. But even so, this person really misses it.

This is one of my favorite Rammstein songs. It is telling the bad and painful side of love. Everybody knows that love can be great, but this song tells also of how it can be cruel and painful. I dont think its talking about a specific example of its treachery, just what it is and does as a whole on the negative side.

It's just an overall display of what love is. It's not just kisses and cuddles and happiness, it gets under your skin and can leave 'marks' (scratches, as mentioned), that it's something that you can't control and just have to leave it to run it's course.

this is the most beautiful love song in the world, hands down. its not even a ballad, its plain a powerhouse of emotion. i would say amour is about the passionate side of love; it rips you apart, it breaks you, it eats you alive... but you dont care, you still go back for more, because you cant live without it. truly powerful stuff

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
