Staring right back in the face
A memory can't be erased
I know, because I tried
Start to feel the emptiness
and everything I'm gonna miss
I know, that I can't hide

All this time is passing by
I think it's time to just move on

When you come back down
If you land on your feet
I hope you find a way to make it back to me
When you come around
I'll be there for you
Don't have to be alone with what you're going through

Start to breathe and fake a smile
It's all the same after a while
I know, that you are tired
Carrying the ones you lost
A picture frame with all the thoughts
I know, you hold inside

I hope that you can find your way back
To the place where you belong

When you come back down
If you land on your feet
I hope you find a way to make it back to me
When you come around
I'll be there for you
Don't have to be alone with what you're going through

You're coming back down
You say you feel lost can I help you find it
When you come around
From time to time we all are blinded
You're coming back down
You don't have to tell me what you're feeling
I know what you're going through
I won't be the one that lets go of you

I think it's time to just move on

When you come back down
If you land on your feet
I hope you find a way to make it back to me
When you come around
I'll be there for you
Don't have to be alone with what you're going through

When you come back down
If you land on your feet
I hope you find a way to make it back to me
When you come around
I'll be there for you
Don't have to be alone with what you're going through

I'm a huge Lifehouse fan. This song means alot to me, and I can really compare with what he's saying. My girlfriend was having a really rough time a couple months ago, and she only wanted to be alone. She shut me out, and didn't want me to help her because she thought I'd get in the way. What Jason Wade is basically saying is "When you get better again, please remember me, and what we had together even though you want to be alone right now, I hope you know that I'll be there to help you if you need it. Come back to me."

Another part that I can really compare to is when he says

"Start to feel the emptiness and everything I'm gonna miss. I know that I can't hide."

It reminds me of the pain I feel when I'm not sure what's gonna happen. She could be fine, or be hurting, and I can't do anything to help her.

"Staring right back in the face, a memory can't be erased. I know, because I tried."

He's stating how hard it is to just let someone go like that, it's nearly impossible, and he's tried many times.

this is one deep song...my new favorite!

i think it means he's trying to forget about a girl but he just can't and that he'll always be there for her if she ever decides to come back to him

I'm considering that this song can also be refering to death...

"Staring right back in the face, a memory can't be erased. I know, because I tried.

Start to feel the emptiness and everything I'm gonna miss. I know that I can't hide."

    and

"Start to breathe and fake a smile, it's all the same after a while. I know that you are tired.

Carrying the ones you lost, a picture frame with all the thoughts I know you hold inside.

I hope that you can find your way back To the place where you belong"

The way that this beautiful song intertwines with those specific parts makes it seem--or at least to me--that this song has to do with dealing with a loved one's death.

I think the girl is having some problems with her family/friends [I personally think it's about drugs but thats just me] or something. Then she choses to break up with the guy because she's too stressed out to be in a relationship. I think that the narrator is saying that he loves her and once she gets through this horrible time in her life, that He'll still be there for her because he just cant get over her.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
