Predictable Lyrics
Something isn't right,
I can feel it again, feel it again.
This isn't the first time,
That you left me waiting.
Sad excuses and false hopes high,
I saw this coming, still I don't know why,
I let you in.
I knew it all along,
You're so predictable.
I knew something would go wrong... (Something's going wrong...)
So you don't have to call,
Or say anything at all.
You're so predictable... (So predictable...)
So take your empty words,
Your broken promises.
And all the time you stole,
Cause I am done with this.
I could give it away, give it away,
I'm doing everything I should've.
And now I'm making a change,
I'm living today.
I'm giving back what you gave me,
I don't need anything.
I knew it all along,
You're so predictable.
I knew something would go wrong... (Something's going wrong...)
So you don't have to call,
Or say anything at all.
You're so predictable... (So predictable...) Now everywhere I go,
Everyone I meet,
Every time I try to fall in love,
They all want to know why I'm so broken.
Why I am I so cold,
Why I'm so hard inside.
Why am I scared?
What am I afraid of?
I don't even know, this story's never had an end.
I've been waiting,
I've been searching,
I've been hoping,
I've been dreaming you would come back,
But I know the ending of this story.
And you're never coming back,
Never...
Never, never, never, never...
Never, never, never, never...
Never, never, never, never...
I knew it all along,
You're so predictable.
I knew something would go wrong... (Something's going wrong...)
So you don't have to call,
Or say anything at all.
So predictable... (So predictable...)
Everywhere I go for the rest of my life,
Everyone I love, (So predictable...)
Everyone I care about,
They're all gonna want to know what's wrong with me
And I know what it is... (So predictable...)
What it is is right now.
I can feel it again, feel it again.
This isn't the first time,
That you left me waiting.
Sad excuses and false hopes high,
I saw this coming, still I don't know why,

Alright. If you've listened to Good Charlotte from the begining, their dad comes up a lot in their songs. Thats because Joel and Benji's father left them when they were 13 or so. This song is about their father leaving them, and that it was predictable he would do so. The part where Joel is screaming is him talking directly to his father. Aside from that I was watching a making the video thing on this song and the guys in the band say thats what this song is about.. so you know its legit.
I'm not a big fan of good charlotte, to say the least. Although, I have to say this is a pretty good song.
yeah you took the words right out of my mouth
Dudes whats wrong with you?! Good Charlitte is the bast! I love this song
best*
wow, this song is awesome... i can relate to it, every word... i think its about desperation... not in an always-gotta-have-a-gf/bf-or-i-will-die way, but in the sense that you are usually alone because you never seem to match other people's standards. lots of people really don't get what love is about- i would never want to be with someone who is "perfect", i want someone who has "something wrong with them"- someone real and human and vulnerable. someone who knows what pain is. how can you truly know love if you don't know pain??? Hmmm.
well i think this song is about how his first love broke his heart, he has never been able to get over her and because of that he is haunted by her with everyother person he meets and knows he will never find another person that connected with him like she did.
I think that it is about a relationship that has been very on/off. He has finally realized that there's no way it will ever work between them and is expressing resentment and a little anger towards the other person. He's sick of being let down and doesn't wanna play her games anymore.
yep
yep
that could be it too
I got to agree, i liked the first good charlotte album, loathed the second, but this new song is pretty good.
I agree he's haunted by the past and it gets in the way of his happyness when he's with this person, and she doesn't help. And as he's trying to make this relationship work, she's at the same time making it worse.
His dad left one day and never came back. I think this part is talking about that, what he went through that left him feeling like this, his dad never coming back.
"I don't even know, this story's never had an end. I've been waiting, I've been searching, I've been hoping, I've been dreaming you would come back, But I know the ending of this story. And you're never coming back, Never... "
