I won't talk, I won't breathe
I won't move 'til you finally see
That you belong with me

You might think I don't look
But deep inside, in the corner of my mind
I'm attached to you, mmm

I'm weak, it's true
Cause I'm afraid to know the answer
Do you want me too?
Cause my heart keeps falling faster

I've waited all my life
To cross this line
To the only thing that's true

So I will not hide, it's time to try
Anything to be with you
All my life I've waited
This is true

You don't know what you do
Everytime you walk into the room
I'm afraid to move

I'm weak, it's true
I'm just scared to know the ending
Do you see me too?
Do you even know you met me?

I've waited all my life
To cross this line
To the only thing that's true

So I will not hide, it's time to try
Anything to be with you
All my life I've waited
This is true

I know when I go
I'll be on my way to you
The way that's true...

I've waited all my life
To cross this line
To the only thing that's true

So I will not hide, it's time to try
Anything to be with you
All my life I've waited
This is true

this song has soo much feeling and is very vulnerable. its about wanting to cross the line between friendship and something more, about knowing that that person is the one for you but being worried that they don't feel the same. it's the kind of song that makes your heart ache.

Lyrics are okay, but I have to admit the reason I really listen to this song is because of his voice. It's very soft, and soothing so I really like listening to it when I'm in a mellow kinda mood. <333

I saw Ryan in concert(he was touring with Jessica Simpson) and he was incredible! Very sweet, kind, talented and cute! Anyway, he said that he wrote this song for a girl he liked in high school because he couldn't say how he felt just speaking to her. So he sang it to her and she rejected him because she didn't like him! I think that is so sad! Especially because he poured his heart out in a song! :( Well, just wanted to share that with you! :)

I think a lot of people can relate to this. It's something a lot of people feel at first when they start to like someone. It's just hard to tell them. Especially if they are a good friend or something. You just don't want to ruin that. Great song. :)

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Gentle Hour

This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
