They feel a little sad - go to the doctor and get some 'happy' pills, when really they should be trying to find out the root of their unhappiness rather than medicating it. </font></p>

I believe that this song is about Christianity. The singer (sorry, I forget his name) cant figure out if he should be christian or not. He believes that theres no proof that there really is a god and doesnt wanna waste his whole life following god if it'll mean nothing. But he also feels an emptyness inside him which he cant heal himself.

I think it is about if i choose to follow a faith will it cure me or lead me blindly through life, in no search for truth but only the truth i want to hear. Faith is like searching for control in life that we cannot obtain, we cannot heal ourselves for we lack the control to do so, so we searched for a greater power... now on to my deciphering hmmmhmmhmh

This one, in particular, is about something traumatic happened and the 'healing process' was told to be 'finding a place on your own and just being alone for a bit'. Alone, with no one to talk to (because everyone would repeat the same thing) is the source of potential suicide. This is the aftermath of that...

Alone, with no one to talk to (because everyone would repeat the same thing) is the source of potential suicide. This is the aftermath of that song. His potential suicide and what he went through after...and realizing that there is no healing a broken heart and there is no mending what damage you did to yourself. And that's due to the society that we live in, even today a decade after your comment. We live in a society that inherently ridicules male depression as being "stupid, be a man". And this song was a direct response to that, but very nuanced. There is no reference to actually 'doing' drugs, but you are prescribed drugs upon this scenario. As a mid 30s male, I'm telling you (potentially mid 30s as well now) that's what this is about. I'm sure that's irrelevant now in your life...but hey, just a little fact pre-valentines day. If you're single, don't worry. There's others, you're not alone. In a time like 2021, everyone needs that little bit of reassurance.
